978-525-0031 is for the Veteran's of Foreign Wars of the State of *****chusetts.  I was geting a few calls a day from this number, but there was usually no one on the other line.  So, I called the 978 number and got a recording directing me to call their Customer Service Center at 800-785-4595 for futher information.  I called the 800 number and a recording gave me a list of departments to choose from, the last being a prompt to be added to their "free" "do not call" list.  The recording stated that in order to be placed on their free do not call list, you must be a residential telephone subscriber and your caller ID cannot be blocked or private.

They have called in phases- they'll call 2 or 3 times a day for a week then not for another month.  No message.

Called and left no message. Tried to call back to identify and got a recording expressing "technical difficulties" and to call back in 48 hours!

Picked up the phone, said it was a VFW collecting to service vets. Told him if he sent me so****ing in the mail I'd make a donation. Turned me over to his manager to confirm. Manager kept insisting that I give him a cc #. Reverse lookup found Manchester, MA and unpublished.

Someone left a message with no one talking. Sounded like cars driving by or like someone else on this site mentioned, like an engine running in the background.

Same comcast phone issue here.  Very annoying.

They keep calling; but, when you call the number it says it is not in service.  I now have the number blocked.

Got calls from this number twice with voicemail that sounds like an engine running.Keep in mind that there are a long list of exceptions to the do not call list - charitable orgs are one of them.

I too have comcast and moved here 3 months ago, several solicitations, I just don't answer unless its someone I know, it is very annoying

Received three calls in three days from this number while I was out of town, left ****-up messages.  Plan to call them Monday and give them an earful.

just by reading above, i'm sure comcast gave my number also.. caller id just say Manchester

I have been receiving calls on & off for months.  I never answer and caller never leaves a message.  Caller ID says Manchester, MA.  I am on the do-not-call list.  I also have Comcast.

I haven't picked up the call; I have caller I.D.  My I.D. says "Manchester, MA".  I am listed on the National Do Not Call Registry.

They called my old phone number from 2004-05 tonight looking for me. My old roommate still has the same phone number. She texted me that a guy called for me and would not leave a message, and she gave me that number.

We receive calls once or twice a day, refuse to answer.  I have had my number less than a month, and am convinced that comcast must have sold it.  We checked our online call long history, we were receiving calls to our number before it was 'installed' at our new address!  What happened to personal information??

Identified as VFW "at the statehouse" I said not interested, and ***gup before they could speak anymore.........I'm so rude.....
