I picked up/***g up w/o answering because we've gotten a slew of 978 & other calls recently that are all SPAM, including: 978-867-4823 'solar panels' sales SCAM 566-344-0900 Ditto 566-344-0801 Ditto There is a WARNING in our local newspaper today about a TELEPHONE SCAM going around our area (Western Mass) of SCAMMERS trying to get ACCOUNT NUMBERS of Electric customers; Did you know your IDEN***Y can be STOLEN that way? Also they can SWITCH your provider a***nst your wishes, with the acct number and then charge EXORBITANT rates AND a FEE to cancel or switch back to your other providers. if you give your acct #, even 'innocently' that is tantamount to 'acceptance' of their SCAM. BEWARE! Some are also using the "PAY YOUR OVERDUE BILL or BE SHUT OFF" Scam which is ILLEGAL, too. ***ody's power can be shut off during the heating season BY LAW!!! Even IF these people really ARE offering Solar Panels, IT IT ILLEGAL FOR THEM TO BE COLD CALLING anyone on the DNC List, which we are. It this THEIR responsibility to check first.
