Said they were with Grimes County, and looking to serve my Ex wife. Funny, my ex works for the county. I told them I am not her messenger.

They keep calling so I returned the call to give pricing as required by the FTC. When she asked if it was ok to record the call, I said no. She then said that if the call wasn’t recorded she would not continue the call. I know the FTC rule states that all FH must provide pricing information over the phone, it does not say I have to agree to having that conversation recorded!!

We could hear others talking in background, and the phone number on caller ID came up as New Orleans, Louisiana, 504-218-1362, but when asked who was calling they said they were with a communications company for the FTC. We asked for a call back number and we were given 979-221-1506 so they could talk with a funeral director, and by the way, they called after usual business hours.

They call from 504-218-1362. If you do not want to be recorded they will not take any price information but will continue to call numerous times per day. I've requested they REMOVE me from their call list and they say they will but they do not.

All Funeral Director should know the FTC Funeral Rules. Just because they called anonymously doesn't mean they're scam. They have a job to make and that's your job to provide prices as well. I mean what's wrong with providing prices? And also ANSWERING SERVICES should do their job as well. It's just that simple. Just act according to your job ♥

Definately a "hustler" number. Want to see if funeral home is following the FTC Rules. Three calls now from three different people there.

I work at an answering service for funeral homes and this company is constantly calling and lying about the nature of their calls. 1st it was for her boss who had a family member that died. Then it was for the FCC doing quality control and compliance. Then it was an "En***y that wishes to remain anonymous."

They are requesting funeral prices, and I could tell this was a Call Center. The person talking had a thick accent and was hard to understand. Definitely a red flag number.

Stated she is our of New York, and her Boss will be calling back shortly. Says the company name is Advanced Planning & Preparation, and I was unable to find this company anywhere. I searched the telephone number given and it brought me to this site. Continuously asked for funeral prices and you could hear lots of talking in the background as well.

Keeps calling looking for funeral prices.
