Called me about 15 times
I called my state attorney general's office to complain about the same type of calls described here. They told me to call the FTC - Federal Trade Commission at 1-877-382-4357 which I did. I actually got to speak with a human being who took my complaint (you have to provide your name, address, phone and email) and directed me to their web site to read about these scams. Visit www.ftc.gov and enter "microsoft scam" in the search box. The more people who contact the FTC the more that will be done (we hope!)
same as below

These ******s call about every week!! Never say anything. If you call the number back, it is disconnected!! A S**** number! Same "****" different smell !!!! All these creeps use a S**** numbers, not there real number! We are wasting out time posting on this forum!!!!!!!! Nothing will happen just like listing your number on the Do-Not-Call list, N-O-T-H-I-N-G happens!!! Who knows what their real number is as they are usually calling from a fake (S****) number.... I get calls all the time from new numbers as the old ones I block on my phone. Just **** up or when the want your credit card number tell then to hold on while you get it, sure. My view... How to file with the FTC.... http://www.fcc.gov/complaints Here is how they do it, Just Google search "How to S**** a caller I.D. number" How is this legal???? Go to this link, you may have to copy and paste: http://www.creditcards.com/credit-card-news/FTC-*****s-down-on-robocall_scams-1282.php

same as previous comments This is a landline from Freeport TX with calls coming from India trying to scam you saying your computer has a virus and has been hacked they say they are with Microsoft and are going to help you fix your computer. It is a scam
I have received several calls from this number. finally answered - got a woman who sounded like she was from India and with Microsoft. Told me my laptop was being hacked and that if I logged on, she would show me and help me take care of it. I ***g up. They have not called back. It sounded very skeptical.
I have had several calls from this number. twice tonight. I tried to call the number back and the message indicated that it has been disconnected. Each time it seems to be a different person, once a woman, all who appear to have an Indian accent. They say they are from Microsoft and will help fix my computer, that I need to get on my computer right away. I have declined to do so and once I ask questions, each time they **** up.
A man "SAM", that sounded as though he was from India called me stating that he was from Microsoft and that I was a victim of a hacker. He stated that he was calling to****ist me and that it was a free service. I was very skeptical so told him I did not have a computer, he sounded confused and then he asked me if I had a laptop and I told him no. He then say good bye and ***g up.
