I have these prank calls recorded on video on my YOUTUBE account, they are a scam. I am getting calls from COOPER LAW FIRM and a man named (and not kidding) JIM CROW. If you want to view my videos go to mrakulus on YOUTUBE.com it's under that user name.

After I told him that I would see him in court in early February, I have not heard from him a***n.  And if he was going to take me to court, then I should have received the paperwork from now.  I know its hard to let go when someone tells you that they are going to take you to court, but this is a scam.

979-314-4382, called me , they did not leave a message, just a phone number from someone named ryan. when i googled the number i got all this information about them being a crime prevention company, and that they harass people for money, stating false information, they need to leave people alone

I received a call from this company that says they are Crime Prevention in NY and he said he was calling me because I have a payday loan out and I needed to take care of it right now to keep it from going to court. He went on to say that me or my attorney needs to get in contact with him to take care of this and if we didn't may God have mercy on me. I asked him for his name and he said his name is Raymond Edwards and he wanted to help me to take care of this and I could pay it right now to keep it out of court. I explained to him that I was on Google and I see other complaints about this being a bogus company and that I was going to report them. He then got off the phone with me. These people called my job and knew my name. That's scary!

I just got the same call and it went exactly as you all have described.  It's scary to think this guy knows my social, where I work, my email address and my banking info.  Do I call the FBI?  What can I do?

Someone from the number (979) 314-4382 has been calling my job.  The person had a foreign accent.  and stated that if I did notmake arrangements to pay a payday loan that a lawsuit was going to be filed a***nst me. I asked for the phone number and looked it up on the internet.  This is a SCAM!!!!  When he called back and stated that I did not return his call as promised that they would proceed with filing the lawsuit.  I told him to go ahead.  This is the second time that I have been contacted by someone with a foreign accent about a lawsuit concerning an online payday loan.

I also received a phone call from this number on Feb 16th at 1:30 pm claiming to be Jack Brown from Cooper Law Firm in Texas and that he was the attorney for US Cash Advance Filing a law suit on me for never paying a payday loan back to them for $583.43 and if it went to court that it would cost me between $8000 to $9000. I knew right off it was a scam cause I have never had a Payday Loan and I Called his bluff but he would not admit it,and just klept telling me to have my lawyer call him. He said he had all the information about me and I told him to prove it. He named off every piece of info about me even my SSN#. So I got off the phone with him and call ***zos County Sheriffs Office because that is where that number is from, They tried searcing the name, number,and law office and came up with nothing. So I called him back and told him I didn't like anyone tring to scam me and that I had mins to waste on my phone and I was going to tie up his phone as long as i could and he could file harassment charges on me, then i would know who and where he was and i did tell 8:30pm when his phone s****ed going to voice mail. The next morning i s****ed calling him at 6:30am and by 7:30 he admited that it was just a scam and that they were making money off of itand he wanted to know what it would take to stop me from calling and i told him to get rid of all my info so no one eles could get it. Today Feb 18 I have been on the phone with the FBI in the Dallas Tx field office,the FCC, and the three credit agentces. Now I plan on reporting this to all the news stations that I can think of. Like I told the FBI agent they didn't get any money from me and maybe I can keep them from getting any money from anyone eles too.

i had the same number called me and said that i had 3 charges a***nst me because i nevered pay back a payday loan.  I told him i didnt take a loan out in feb 2009 and that he need to quit calling me and he said that they where going to file court papers and he said he was from cooper law firm.

So I had a nice conversation with Jack Dominic today.  The first call was made on Sa****ay morning at 7:45am, which I new then it was a bogus call, but he left a message.  Told me good luck and god bless as things unravel with the attorneys.  I ignored it and he called a***n on Monday.  Not only to my cell, but my old job where they had told him I no longer worked, but he continued to call there.  I finally called him back at 979.314.4382 and it went to the generic voicemail.  I left a voice mail to have him call me back.  He called 8 times in a row from a restricted number.  I finally talked to him on the phone and he stated he was with Cooper Law Firm.  He told me that I had three charges a***nst me at that he was going to see me in court.  I told him I had no idea what this was regarding, and he preceded to state that I took a Cash Advance for an amount that he couldn't tell me or the day that I actually got the money, but now I owed him over $5000. (I've never gotten a cash advance...thought about it, but didn't)The line disconnected and in the mean time I researched the information and figured out it was a scam.  He called back and I asked him for his address, he gave me 2100 Bryan Tower Clint City, TX 70841.  I was googling it while asking him and verified it three times with him to make sure it was correct.....it doesn't exist.  When I asked him why it didn't exist, he kept telling me that he would just see me in court.  I said that was fine and until then, I did not want him to call me a***n and asked if he understood.  He said no, then preceded to ask if I had a boyfriend or if I was married.  When I told him that this was the most unprofessional phone call I had ever received and that I was going to report him, he said I that he just wanted to talk to me.  I told him he could talk to me in court......if that ever happens, which I highly doubt it.This is such a scam.  I'll be reporting this within the next day.
