Called twice today. Caller ID only shows Covington, LA. No message left. I don't know this number. DoNotCall.gov needs to do better, or just give free to all of us the proper device to block any and all numbers we choose.

Received a call this evening on my cell phone. I was attending an event and had my ringer off, so didn't see the call until later. They left no message. I don't know anyone who lives in Covington, LA.

I'm always amazed people answer the phone when the name is a phony name on the Caller ID. Never answer the phone unless you recognize the number as a friend or business you work for, or buy things from. Having your name on the State & Federal Do Not Call List is worthless as these criminals totally ignore the "Do Not Call List" and probably use it as a list of valid numbers to call and scam people with their crap. Perhaps the only real cure is to actually know where they are physically located and have a little "Mafia" style justice physically deal with them and their place of business so it is permanently out of business. Maybe the local & state prosecutors will "look the other way" if this were to happen to enough of these scammers because it would make the local & state prosecutors lives easier with less complaints coming in to them. I received a call from 985-635-4267 on 5-8-13 from a lady representing herself as from the Republican National Committee. She asked political questions, then asked for a $200 donation which I said I could not do. She worked her way to $20, which I also refused. She asked my name too. Not sure she actually works for the RNC. I will call and find out though. It's a cell phone from Lafayette La area.

I got a phone call from 985-635-4267 @ 8:o7 PM, Thursday, April 18. I did not answer because I didn't reconigise the #..I am on the state & national, "Do not call list" but get many calls. I don't answer because if they ashamed to give their name, I don't feel obligated to talk to them!!!!!
