Got the text message: (9175383848) HSBC LQCJ alert 948554.Please call (985)-9511092 / I have an HSBC card so I called the number. The computerized voice mentioned HSBC debit master card. It's not a debit card. It said the card was locked. Press "1" to unlock and "2" to **** up. Press 1 to unlock?? You've got to be kidding. I just ***g up and called the number on the back of the card. HSBC said it was a scam.
I just received (1:17pm EST) a text message on my phone, an "HSBCWHUS alert" telling me to call the 985 number. I don't bank with HSBC but I do bank with Wells Fargo and am set up for text alerts. I'm****uming this is some sort of fraud from what I'm reading here.
Got a text from****-131-5719, said, "HSBC BQUK alert 4228228. Please Call (985)9511092." I do have an account with HSBC but I seriously doubt that they would send me a text like this instead of calling with any alert on my account. SCAM!

Totally a scam. They ask you to confirm your debit card is being deactivated. I don't have an HSBC account. It then leads you through steps to get your personal information.
