They said that they were the Social Security Administration they were updating infomration

Got a spam call from this number 1(201) 249-6400 - It left an automated voicemail saying "Call us back so that we can discuss your case and take necessary action of this matter. If we don't hear from you then we will be forced to take legal action a***nst you. Kindly call us back..." I live in the southern part of the US and have no connection to New Jersey at all. Not sure why there would be a case a***nst me or any issue. I don't think a legitimate legal issue would be handled with such a ***ue message. 99% sure that this is a SCAMMER.

The caller said “Hi this is Lucas on a recorded line, how ya doing today”. I replied “fine how are you”… the line went dead … same thing happened the other day … these numbers are the same area code as mine
