Leave a CommentCalled, no message. Obviously unsolicited as I don't even give out this specific phone number that they tried calling!
I received a call a couple of days ago from Scholastic Funding Group 201-266-0962. I have student loans and they were calling about consolidating. At first, I thought, "Hey it's Scholastic so it can't be that bad." I was wrong. After the woman did her thing she asked for my FAFSA account number and I said I didn't know (they don't use account numbers but I didn't think about it at the time) then she asked for my Social Security number. I said no 3 or 4 times before I finally ***g up on her. She would not take no for an answer. Then today I get a call from the same woman. I ***g up right away. She called back and I ***g up a***n. About 1 or 2 hours later she called a***n. Persistent little cuss isn't she?
I have received many calls from an unknown number. The last time I spoke to this person I asked for their name and number. Patrick Neil was the name and 201 336 0560 was the number from scholastic funding group. His claim was that my name kept popping up and he needed to give me information on my federal student loan. He wanted my account number. I told him that I do not give out any information. He said he will keep calling anyway to get my information. I ***g up on him. He has called me about 3 times a day for a week.
3/27/07 @ 3:20 pm and 5:03 pm.
I keep getting phone calls from this number! The first two times I politely told them that it was a bad time to talk, and that I did not need any updates on my student loans. The next few times I told them that I already was up to date on my student loans and thanked them. Finally I called and left a message, because the guy who called me the first 5 times s****ed calling in the middle of the night. Last night they called me at 4 am! I don't know who it is, but I want them to stop.
ive gotten over 30 calls from this number (201-336-0560). in fact it might be more than that. ive answered once before a few months ago and said no thank you. then they called repeatedly for weeks. i finally answered a***n today to tell them to stop caling and to take my name out of their database. after saying that, the lady told me how they could get me 1% interest on my student loans. why didnt she jsut say ok, i dont know. rather, she would not take no for an answer. so i proceeded to tell her no about 8 more times but she kept saying just give me 2 more min of your time and dont you want to save money. i even told her i dont have loans, and she still tried to keep me on the phone to sell me. this makes no sense. i then asked her, why are you trying to sell me so hard. then she told me, oh no, its absolutely free. then i knew it was a scam. how is this legal? its certainly not professional or legit. i wonder if theyre even in New Jersey....
I continued to get calls from this number and they never leave a message. They call several times a day on my home phone. I already registered to have my name and number taken off their call list.
Scholastic Funding Group claims to be a company who will consoidate your student loans. Their website looks fishy to me.
When returning a call to 201-226-0560, I received a message prompting me to leave a message for the telephone number 650-585-4354, which I have.
This person has called my home about thirty times in the last week, at all hours, etc. He/she does not identify name or purpose of call. I have been registered with the FTC Do Not Call Program for some time, and therefore, should not get any of these sales calls at all. If you are also on the FTC list, you can file a complaint here:https://www.donotcall.gov/Complain/ComplainCheck.aspx. I****ume that this person has been calling because my husband is an attorney with massive amount of student loan debt. However, this person should have been wise enough not to call someone who has knowledge of the law. It is illegal for telemarketers to harrass people this way. For more details on the relief that can be granted if you are being harrassed, see this site: http://www.panix.com/~eck/telemarket.htmlI will be filing suit next week
Received call from 201-336-0560, Hackensack, NJ (New Jersey). Phone rang off the hook until I answered it which no one replied. I immediately searched Google for "do not call" and went to the Federal Trade Commission's website ( http://www.ftc.gov/donotcall/ ) to register my phone number. Registration is free and is good for five (5) years. Go to the website and register online or by toll-free number listed on website. Good luck!
I receive at least 10 phone calls a day. They are calling me at work, my cell. I am at the point where i pick up the phone and **** up on them. They are annoying. I choose to not have their business. I find them very unprofessional and pushy. If i can have them stop calling my number I would appreciate it.
Called late at night, ***ody seemed to be on the other end.
