Offering an Uber code stating to respond with STOP to the message if you don't want to receive further messages. This is a common practice in phishing campaigns when attempting to enumerate user information for future attacks. I contacted Uber support but they have not provided any additional information yet. The only responded that they have deactivated my text messaging feature.

I don’t even have BofA and they texted me to ask that I call this number 877-257-5474 because my card was issued a fraud alert. No thanks.

Fraud. Total fraud. Just got off the phone with the bank. Do not give your info. Call the bank through your app. If they do not give you your last four numbers of your card, it’s not Bank of America. Report them to the bank.

They texted and said they were Bank of America. They said there was fraud in my account. I called the number and they asked for my debit card number. I hung up and called the bank. I’m on hold now. I do not believe it’s BOA because I ran this report and other have searched with no info on this number. Do not give your debit card number to anyone. Even a recording where you enter the numbers. Call the bank and check for yourself through your app.

CB Just got a similar text message. I don't even bank with Chase bank, but my mother does and I am her POA of record. I called Chase to report the scam and will now be monitoring her account very closely, as well as my own.

They persisted in calling my cell and never left a number. I finally called them back from an unlisted number and discovered what kind of company it is. They were looking for someone other than me and I asked them why they didn't ever leave a message. They had no answer and disconnected from me.
