Whether they are or aren't they are referring to themselves as the FBI. The woman who answered said they are a "field office." If they are not in fact the FBI this should be looked into. She said as stated above that it is a general phone number so they cannot find out who called.
I believe the call generated from the offices of CACI intl
Call came in 202-233-1100,Received this call from BILL ONCE today for the first time. We have no idea who this company or person is, It seems as if there is someone seeking to bill one's phone or credit card for services and I would advise not to answer or respons. As shown from the variety of identifications, this is not a valid number for business. Our phone number is one that we have had only since May 10. We get many weird calls even from Block Anonymous that we have no way of confirming. As we do not answer unknown calls the only loss or troubling factor is the loss of sleep and the stress of these calls coming in several times per day. As we are retired, this can be very frustrating. The only comfort is "not to answer at all" . The caller ID is such a wonderful invention and intervention. I suggest making good use of it.
It is the FBI, I just got a missed call from them. When I called back, the gentleman answering said it was the Washington DC Field office, but it was a general line I had called back, so he had no way of finding out who called me. Also, the number is listed at this website, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations:http://www.dodig.mil/Inspections/IPO/Locmap/AFOSI/AFOSIDC.htm
Are you sure this is a scam?
Gal calling her self Maria Acevedo from the FBI. Supposedly she found my resume on career builders and has a position open in the city I live in as a technical****ociate or so****ing or another. She s****ed asking me questions about my resume, I cut her off asking for her name and office phone number so I could reach her when I was more available. She stumbled around saying she was working from home today and that the position was needed to be filled by tomorrow....the number she gave me for her office was 202-233-9304...i googled her name and number and it pointed me to this website: https://www.pmf.opm.gov/ACoords.aspx but the real office of personnele website looks like this http://ww****m.gov/index.aspMe thinks its a fraud!! I have a hard time believing the FBI is looking for america's finest on careerbuilder.....

No ID, or maybe it was Maine when it first rang - phone did not store it. Report to the FCC -Form 1088G for unwanted/unsolicited phone calls - also see the Do Not Call page: The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at this Website. You can register your home or mobile phone for free. https://www.donotcall.gov/
