ive been receiveing calls from 2022396000 for about 3 or 4 days now, about 20 of them. apparently this is a washington DC number ... but i dont even live in the states. at 123 pm i received a call on my house phone then my cell phone immediately afterwards. it must be a scam because im only 17 , havent racked up any debt yet. but its super creepy, idk how they got my number to begin with..........also heard it has so****ing to do with magic jack ? never even heard of it, and im positive i dont have it since ive set up my family's computers

This is a magic jack number, when anyone who installs the magic jack aPP, calls someone this is the number that shows up. U can call them back but u have to know the ext. The number is not spam, its someone u know playing on the phone, I call people that I don't want to know my number from it all the time and that same number shows up on their caller id.

Someone from this number left a message this morning. The gave our neighbor's name, but it didn't sound anything like him. Also knew our first names. Don't know how they got this info or our unlisted number. There must be a way to stop these guys, but I don't know how.

Calls several times in the middle of the night and doesn't say anything.

this is the exact same call i am getting, but they won't stop.  i think it's the same guy and he calls several times in a row, everyday, and when i tell him to stop, i don't have a virus, i know he's scamming me, etc. he just s****s saying ****** stuff.  they're using the magic talk phone service to contact me.

Caller had thick Indian accent.  Said his name was Vincent. Said he was a Senior technician from Microsoft and that they had identified 2 viruses in my computer line which would destroy any computers at any time.  He said it was a "legislative genuine call" which made me think he was confused with the legislature and Windows Genuine products. First thing he said when I answered was "autodial" as he thought the answering ma****e had picked it up. He said they had traced my IP address from Washington DC and that I had 2 High Danger Viruses in my computer line. He wanted me to log into my computer and he would walk me through the processes to remove the virus and restore my computer. I told him I did not have access to them right now, but would call him back and he gave me a number to call (909( 647-9546 and said I could ask fro Vincent Morgan, Steve Johnson or Shawn Knight and they would remove the viruses.  It is a real scam because they were****uming I had Windows and a computer at this number.

A so-called recruiter from "Providential Bancorp" called me from this number on 07/28/11 claiming he wanted to make me a job offer. S****ed leaving another number that s****ed with 805-848, but that was apparently wrong and he s****ed over only to have my voice mail cut him off. Almost positive it's a scam. Why else would he need to hide behind MagicJack?

Just got a call from this number today,at work,  caller ID says Washington DC, saying I'm being charged with 4 banking crimes they knew lots of info about me. Gave me a number to call back at and that number is in LA when I do a reverse lookup

Received a call from them saying i owe money and am the lead suspect in a monetary crime.... called back and it said "what magic talk nnumber would you like to call" what???

The caller ID that comes up for this number on my ma****e is "Washington,DC".  Don't know who they are.  Just reporting what came up.

Jan 5 2010 1:21 PM the call came in but I answered before I looked at the number since I was expecting an important call. Turned out it was my own dad calling me, said so****ing about trying a new computer phone service. He tells me to call back since the the conversation was all broken up; could not understand him was cutting out every other word. I figured it was my dad so no harm in trying to call him back. I called and some recording came on so I ***g up right away.

It is the number that comes with the Magicjack until you register it I just got one and call myself to test the sound so it is someone you know or a wrong number it will only work for 48 hours with this number then you must register and get a new number. Hope this helps

This number just called me at 3:00 in the morning!  Only one ring came through, but it truly scared me.  I tried looking up the number, its from Washington DC, a mobile phone.

They just called me and it's after midnight here?  When I picked up after the first ring, there was no one on the line.

I got 2 calls today from this number, the first one didn't leave a message, the second left an unintelligible (foreign language?) voicemail, female voice, perhaps s****ed with "hello ***her." Totally creepy and unpleasant.

I'm getting 4 calls daily from this number.  They wait for the answering ma****g to click on and then don't leave a message.  How do I get them to stop?  I work nights and sleep during the day and this is getting frustrating.

If someone buys their internet phone device it comes with 30 free trial minutes which will initially give this number for caller ID until the buyer chooses their permanent number. Could be someone you know who just bought one an is trying it out. I didn't answer so they left a message.

Automated call came ~8:30pm asking if I'd like to save more than $1000.00 on my yearly phone bills.  Identified themselves as "Magic Jack".
