Leave a CommentA mechanical voice claiming to be Julie Smith of the IRS told me call (202) 241-0452 "before we take any action a***nst you". This is a SCAM Please fight back by reporting this scam on: http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam_ok.shtml
I knew this was a scam when I first heard message as the IRS only contacts people via real/regular mail. Check the official IRS webpage and they have this number listed as fraud...So, why won't the IRS do so****ing about this?...That's right, they are busy losing internal emails and don't care. These s***bag scammers are using VOIP...This is "voice over internet protocol"...Meaning, they have software that makes their computer "robo-dial" and wait for hard working people to call them back so they can take advantage of them. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM !!
Another IRS scam. Is the government being run from a call center from India? lol.
I got the same call at Tom form the same IRS agent Julie Smith. Said it was Officer June Smith from the IRS. Told me to call to take care of an urgent problem. when I called back at 06 ;30 AM I caught them by surprise or wok them up. He keep asking if I was Richard so he had caller ID.
Scam. Said it was Officer June Smith from the IRS. Told me to call to take care of an urgent problem.
Received a recorded call claiming to be IRS saying we needed to call back immediately. Called back and msg said voicemail was full. Then called and reached a man with a strong accent. Difficult to understand but claimed to be a federal agent and that we owed money to the IRS for some error. He was extremely rude and intimidating. Claimed there was a warrant out for our arrest. Very scary and made me very upset. "Do you know how much you owe?" He said. Finally my husband got on the phone. Guy extremely threatening. Eventually he ***g up on my husband.
