This scammer is using Magic jack to call numbers in the US from overseas. If you report it to [email protected] an attach the message they left on your phone, they will lose their line for violating the terms and condition. I did that exactly with 202-241-7164 and I received an email shortly from Magic Jack Thanking me for reporting the thieves and telling me that their service is shut down.
Shay I recieved a call from 202-241-8964 and they left me a voice message threateing that they were calling from IRS and would file a lawsuit a***nst me and that I had to call back immediately. And this is probably the third or fourth time they are calling me.
kelly Phone Scam stating they are from the IRS and threatening immediate arrest if you do not pay your taxes. Claiming two certified letters were sent and returned. Please note they may have your address. They sound convincing.
I received 5-6 calls from them (a male and female) with bad accent mostly indian and they impersonated the uscis and fbi putting me on a conference call swit****g between the aforementioned parties and talked like official employees saying that this call will be recorded.they claimed that i owe the government $1700 I-94 form fee and either i pay it or I will be arrested or deported and they insisted that I resolve this over the phone or either in 1 hr the police will come to my place and arrest me!! they were literally *******s and didn't wanna discuss any further info with me cuz they just knew my name 1st and last with no other info. they were c****ing stories every time i **** up and come up with a new one. Be careful people and don't answer phone calls that u don't know. this is the lesson that i learned from this whole ****.
fjfjfjf For the ones with verizon fios, just add the ****er to the block numbers list and problem fixed. And then, call the **** every single day!!!
newyorker Got a call from 202-241-9814. When I asked who is calling a guy with a heavy accent s**** to yell so****ing nonsensical about an investigation and criminals. It seems they try to find old people, scare them and try to get their personal info. FBI probably have to s**** to take care of such things.
Centaur Two calls, two partial messages left on answering ma****e (caller s****ed speaking before the "beep" both times). What was available to hear sounded off key to me. I called the number. It was answered by a barely understandable male - heavily accented possibly Indian. And it was 8:30 PM D.C. time when I called. One more clue that the call was fraudulent. When I pressed for the specifics of the IRS complaint, I was given a run-around and finally told it was a mistake. The person then wished me a "Blessed Day" and ***g up. If you receive a call from this number, don't answer - or just **** up.
It's not the IRS but one of 14****ential defendants in a case being built by the government for fraud, organized crime and other charges.
Jessica If you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you’ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.
Spammer
Now they are calling from Washington
