Leave a CommentIf you know you don’t owe taxes or have no reason to think that you owe any taxes (for example, you’ve never received a bill or the caller made some bogus threats as described above), then call and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484.
A robotic female voice claims to be from IRS. The IRS does all communication in writing. This is clearly a scam. I will be looking into reporting this to the IRS.
Computerized woman's voice said that it was the IRS and I needed to call back immediately. I'm a CPA and knew this was a scam. The IRS doesn't call you - all correspondence is in writing.
Got a call from this number this morning. Looked it up and found this site, but called them back anyway to see what they'd say. They said I originally owed $4,000. Then after arguing with him, he said there were more penalties so the total was now up to $16,000.00. I laughed at him, and when I tried to speak he yelled at me not to interrupt him. When I told him I didn't have the money to pay, he said they were having an officer of the law coming to my house to arrest me immediately. I then decided to give him MY side.. and when he went to talk over me, I told HIM not to interrupt ME and proceeded to tell him that I am recording this call, that my attorney is being contacted as soon as I end the call and that I am suing THEM. That I am also reporting them to the IRS, and FBI.. he ***g up on me. Hahahaha
called saying I was being sued by IRS ans wanted personal information ! I ***g up and gave them no info !!
got voice messages from this number, it was a recorded female voice. after sear****g online, I didn't bother to call back...
A recording left a message. Totally nuisance!!!
Received message @10:15 am this morning. Caller has heavy accents, and some words are difficult to understand - even after replaying the message. The caller is John. It is about error in Taxes which could result in legal actions. I get my taxes done by CPA for many years. If there is an error, either I or the CPA will receive a letter, not a call. Why is an IRS agent calling from a cell phone registered in DC?
A robotic female voice claims to be the IRS with a very important message. It is essential that the call not be ignored. Press 1 to be connected to an agent, or return the call to the number listed above. This is a SCAM. The real phone number for the IRS is 800-829-1040. Female caller pretending to be IRS. I did not pick up the phone. Obviously a scam.
Female caller pretending to be from the IRS and offering help
This morning I received a phone call claiming they are the IRS. Heavy accent that I could not understand what was he saying that when asked for someone else to speak to. That when I s**** talking to Steven Morton telling me that my tax return that I filed few years ago are incorrect and I need to call back and speak to Demon Marshall. During my conversation I said that the IRS don't make phone call they send letters but he kept insisting that I need to call. I new this is a scam since I heard this on the news this past week.

Had a voice mail left from this number. Was a computerized voice, said they were from the IRS... right....
This is a SCAM, they pretend that they are the IRS. Heavy Indian accent with name Jose Martin. CREEPY.
Caller (heavy Indian accent) claimed to be from IRS regarding an error on 2013 tax return. He gave this phone number and asked to speak to his supervisor named Alex Cooper.
I received a call from a person who sounded Asian to me and said they were from the IRS. I told him that I had no idea who he was or whether or not he was really from the IRS. I said I wouldn't speak to him. He threatened me by saying that the police would be at my door and then I would know that he was for real. After I ***g up, he called back and said that I better speak to him or the sheriff would be at my door within 30 minutes. I told him I would wait for the sheriff. It's pretty unlikely that the IRS would call me at home like that, so I'd have to say that this guy is definitely a spammer.
I received 2 phone messages to call this number that they are IRS and to return call before they take legal action. I called back and the person answered was male with Indian accent, said he was with IRS. I asked if there is a message for someone at my number and he gave a name but I did not hear it very well. I said no one by that name and ***g up. I believe this is a scam. IRS do not usually call you.
Caller (heavy Indian accent, name: Brian Cruz) claimed to be from IRS regarding an error on 2013 tax return.Asked to speak to his supervisor. He gave me name of Alex Cooper with same tele number.
