It's a scam. Same plot - money laundering, tax fraud...blah blah blah. Also they threaten that police is on the way. Demanded $2500 for Warrant Cancellation. That triggered an alarm for me. I asked them to tell me how do I know they are from IRS...they did not know my SSN. I have reported this humber to IRS already. Another giveaway - looks like they use an IP phone with poor call quality. Not so****ing that IRS will use.
I got a call from these people stating that I'm wanted for money laundering and fraud, I was shocked and tried to get more info on what was going on, they ***g up me and I called back, they said I was being rude and how can I talk to a government official in such a fashion. They claim that it was too late and that a warrant for my arrest has already been issued, they even transfer me to an officer who said to be coming to arrest me in 25-30 minutes, I then called the police to file a complaint and to see what info I could get about the issue, I even proceed to call IRS who told me that it's scam and they gave me a number to report the incident, my mother even called a 3rd time to where they said they didn't want to talk to anyone of my family members and labelled me a ********* and then claimed to be department of treasury before ****ing up before my mom gave them an earful.
This Ph # has been calling me a***n and a***n. He is say that he is from US IRS office. He wanted to tell me that I am being investigated for tax fraud. I told him not to call us but he is not stopping. any
Left a message for me threatening me with an IRS Tax Lien if I didn't call back immediately. I haven't called back yet. An obvious scam.
We need to get the FBI involved in getting those guys. this is completely annoying. several calls every day
Complete scam. Threatened us if we did not call another number within 30 minutes to inquire about a criminal investigation with the IRS that the cops would be coming to visit us. Edward Smith was the name he gave. English was most definitely not his first language. They even have a recording playing that the number is a Taxpayer Advocacy office.
They left a voice message saying I owe tax and have to pay by debit card. By accident I called the number back and as soon as I heard the prompt I ***g up. That guy called me back and said he is returning my call. I said I know this is scam and I already reported to cops and he should expect a call from cops. he said M***** F***** and ***g up. I can tell from her accent that english is not his first language and also sounded arabic.
Look like Fraud
They called me and left a voicemail threatening arrest if i didnt pay them $ 2458 . I immediately realized this a scam as IRS normally sends a notice by mail . These guys are running a scam
They call and pose as a IRS officer and threaten me they IRS will arrest me if I do not agree to pay penalty and when I ask what are my options and she told if I pay $1595 in next 20 min she will take care. She told me to go walgreen but I do not have another phone where she can contact will I am in walgreen she disconnected. She told her name as carol Jim . I contacted my police dept and he told me IRS never call they send written letter. This is a scam and it is running outside US.
