Received a call today from 1-202-241-1427 and on caller ID it says Washington DC Call. The guy named Jonathan Francis had a British/Indian sounding accent called once and a***n 1 hour later and left message saying that he is from IRS Criminal Investigation and that a notice has been issued regarding serious allegations a***nst you. There was background noise when leaving message. Called back and got message saying this is Internal Revenue Service and to leave message. Did not answer call the first time he called and left message. The second message was the same. Sounds su****ious. Be careful with these calls. They probably c****e their number often.

Scare tactic. Number probably from outside of the country. States it is the IRS criminal investigation unit. It's a scam. Report such calls to the IRS treasury inspector general 800.366.4484.

They just called me. Indian accent claiming he represents IRS!

We received a call from them today, claiming that we were under criminal investigation from the IRS (he left a message on voicemail). The man has an indian accent. We called back and received his voicemail. Definitely a scam!

an Indian con artist from India that would like you to think his is British by having British accent, only thing he has in commen with Britain is that of been a salave of them?!!! go figure :D

Please disregard, Its a known scam, How I wish I had the support of the local authorities to get these people, I would volunteer too.

Yeah, I got 4 call from them in the past 18 hours

THESE JOKERS, CALLED ME THIS MORNING...

These people call you imposing themselves as IRS office and ask for money to be paid to them immediately. I received more than 4 calls in 4 hours.
