Received phone call. Did not answer.
Yes****ay I got a call from this number.
I also got a call very early this morning. Same script as above. The weird thing was that I had just sent money to my husband in the Dominican Republic on Monday. I sent him cash via Western Union and this guy knew my husband's name and how much I had sent him. I think these people are hackers and they must be accessing info from various sources. @Just Sick of Lies - you should definitely call the police since this person threatened to ***ually****ault you as well as hacked your personal information and impersonated a DEA agent.
I really appreciate your post here as it confirmed my su****ions that I was being scammed yes****ay. They called me on the 18th as well, only my guy called himself "Peter Johnson." They have a pretty good story (police type radios in the background), and sounded pretty convincing. He told me that I'd be indicted by the Grand Jury next week, and Customs would be calling me, but if I was cooperative he could get me a "dismissal charge" with just a small fine. I told him repeatedly that I didn't know what he was talking about, and finally said I'd call him back. After a few freaked-out minutes, the little alarm in my head finally got my attention - "Peter Johnson"?? Might as well have been **** Johnson. If it helps you all any, this number is from Washington, DC. The penalty for impersonating a police officer to coerce an action from someone is up to 180 days in jail and a $1000 fine, District of Columbia Code 22-1406.
David Wallace called me today...claiming to be a DEA agent. Said US Customs had seized an overseas package addressed to me with a prescription and no script. He said if I did not Western Union $2500 to an overseas account in the Dominican Republic that i would have to report to federal court next week. Very convincing.....he almost got me.....I've received nothing in the mail. i told him to arrest me and then he told me he i will have to deal with the DA. what DA and where? we'll see.....
