I have received a similar message from this number - "said not to disregard and to call back and to Take Care"... Very strange. How do we black calls like this from coming through? I've gotten several spam calls lately with various kinds of scams - one saying I won lottery and that I had to get money cards to pay for taxes - called "Green Dot - Money Pak" cards. If anyone asks you to get these cards for any reason - Do not it's a scam. They ask for the number on the back of the card (that is scratched off) and they instantly can get the money. Thank goodness these cards have a warning on back stating not to give out!

Received this Julie Smith call a***n today.

I just received a phone call from this number around 9:00 this morning. When I called back, they said I owe taxes for the past 3 years and they will arrest me if I don't take any actions. When my husband s****ed to talk to them and question them, they was we will be arrested and ***g up. It is a scam and this should be reported.

I just received a call from this number,the person said it was IRS, officer Julie. I called it,asked for Julie. It was a robotic call that concluded with "take care". A Frank Smith person talked to me. Asked me my name, told me there had been an investigation by IRS. I asked why I never received anything in writing. He said they tried to but ***ody was here to sign. His tone became strident. I told him I had a business for a few years and received IRS notifications many times for various things,if I wasn't here a card went into my box and I went ti sign for it. He became irritated and said (unintelligible...) they will send attorney fees and (unintelligible) when I get arrested. He ***g up. I've had to deal with the IRS before and was never threatened or spoken to like this. Unbelievable

Got this same message today from Julie from the IRS - pre recorded and totally fake - the IRS would mention at the very least who this message was intended for by name and I have NEVER heard a government department sign off with "Good bye and take care"??!!!

Called stating it was the IRS. I have dealt with IRS in the past this is a scam. Do not send them MONEY or give them your personal information. This was on the news today 8-4-14
