They sent me a text stating they had my unique code

this is a scam called offering me 7000$ but wanted me to give them 310$ for a security deposit.

This number is displayed on my phone as a call from the Newseum in Rosslyn, ******ia. I knew it was a fake since the Newseum has a 703 area code.

No message was left, so I really have to believe it's Spam or a Scam

Called saying I received a 7000 Grant. Got all of my personal information incorrect except they somehow knew my last address. Then told me to immediately call 202-738-4217 to speak with Carol Miller about getting the grant money. I don't plan to call. This has happened before and the person just ***g up on me when I asked more question like "what US Department is this grant coming from?" I'm pretty sure it's a scam. I just played along this time to see what would happen next. He told me they can't mail a check or cash because it's unsafe (the IRS mails checks all the time) Please don't fall into their trap.

they call all day and just **** up .. last time they called i told them their number is now listed with the fbi .. we'll c if that slows it down

Person called me and told me the Government was giving away 7000.00 for filing my IRS taxes on time..Asked for my account# and Bank routing..i told them just send me the check..OF course thye **** up..DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM..OR ANY OTHER SCAM ASKING YOU TO DO A SURVEY AND THEY SEND YOU A CERTIFIED FAKE CASHIER CHECK AND ASKED YOU TO CASH IT AND SEND THEM 90% OF THE $..THIS IS SCAM USING A SURVEY COMPANY AS THEIR LOGO...

Calls but there is no one on the line.
