The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing a lawsuit against you. To get more information about this case file please call immediately on our department number 202.506.8045; I repeat 202.506.8045 thank you
Fake IRS scam!
We had an urgent vm left stating we needed to call the IRS immediately. When we did, the "agent" said that they needed our Criminal Attorney's info because we were going to need one when we go to trial with the IRS. When I questioned them and asked them if they were actually the IRS and their id # the agent became belligerent and cursed me out and hung up. I am reporting this to the IRS. Please BEWARE! Do not give them any information.
Got a call about an hour ago not knowing who it was but I was at work. So I called them back on my break and first it went to voicemail then the next two times they hung up on me. And then finally they were busy. On to the next I guess.
I got a VM this morning from them "Dont Ignore our call and call us back before we take a legal action against you" THIS IS A SCAM. Please dont waste your time calling them.
Beware --- This number 202.506.8045 is a fraudulent spammer claiming to be with the IRS; I did a bit of examination of their source, and found out there were based in the sub-continent, most probably in India, and are not as bold as to face the firing squad when they are on the receiving end. Amongst other things, I targeted them with automated phone calls until they asked me not to call them any more, but not before they apologised at which point I laughed and gave them a piece of my mind. tawrags Again, beware.
This is an IRS scam, report the phone number to the phone company
I received a call from this number claiming to be the IRS. They stated that if I didn't pay them back taxes I would be arrested today.
Got a muffle message purported to be from IRS and threaten legal actions concerning serious tax issues and needs to call back.
It's a scam. Trying to get money . Claiming to be the IRS
calling every day and telling they are from irs and i owe 9 k ,this is a scam don't call this number back.
Similar to NAVAKay message: Don't ignore this message. Call back before we take any "legal allegation" against you. "Take care and good bye."
I reported this scam to the FTC under "other" and as IRS Telephone Scam.
Beginning part of message was cut off. Woman purporting to be Officer Heather Grave? from the IRS on time sensitive matter. Don't ignore this message. Call back before we take any "legal allegation" (sic) against you. Her closing message was "Take care and good bye."
Barely intelligible message. No reference number or case identifier. Real IRS would communicate by mail. Bogus.
Yes, it is a scam. You can file a complaint with the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at www.tigta.gov. The following press release about IRS scams is on their website: http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/press/press_tigta-2014-03.htm The press release says the IRS won't ask for payment using a pre-paid debt card, credit card, or wire transfer.
Must be a scam call, purported to be with IRS on time sensitive legal matters. IRS never calls. Communication is typically done via US Mail.
Yes, this is a scam. Do not return the call. The telemarketing operator states this is the IRS and we need you to return our call before we take any legal allegation against you.
