"Officer Heather" of the IRS called my cell phone and left a voice mail saying the IRS needed to speak to me about an urgent matter and that if I didn't call back there would be severe consequences, possibly involving the law where I would need an attorney. At the end of the call Office Heather cheerfully wished me a good day. This seems to be a big scam. Be aware if you get a similar call, or one from 202.506.9418. Call your local IRS office to verify before you send money to an 'agent'.
They called my elderly parents and left a message claiming they are from the IRS. I told them not to call back the number. The IRS will usually contact you by mail. Don't understand why these people can't be stopped. They are impersonating an IRS officer.
Got a message from this number. Said I owed the IRS 1500 dollars and if I ignored the message they would press charges against me.
I GOT A CALL SAYING THAT I OWE TAXES AND I WILL BE ARRESTED, FOOLISH ,STUPID SCAMMERS.
Received a voicemail, claimed that he's calling from IRS, asked to return call to 202-506-9418 or I have to bear the severe consequences! SPAM!BEWARE!
The guy over the phone claimed to be an IRS representative saying that I owed IRS tax of 5000. I had to pay the tax right away by purchasing green dot cash reload voucher from the nearby Safeway Supermarket.
