They left a message on house phone. Said they were from IRS and not to in ignore the call. I checked the number on google and found this site. The 202-506-9680 number was reportedly from a cell phone in Washington DC. Do not believe that the IRS would be calling me from a cell phone. I am going to ignore the call. Thank all of you for your comments.

It is a scam! Don't answer the phone.

Glad I looked this # up thought it was real. Yeah the accents were so deep I could barely understand the message.

Left a message about legal allegation, claims to be from IRS. IRS doesn't have the number that was called. I use different number for IRS. Absolute scam. Can't the government do so****ing about it with out tax money? I would rather have the government spend tax money to catch all those scammers, false advertisers, etc than spen all the tax money in foreign aid.

Two calls so far on our home answering ma****e, claiming to be IRS, with an accent so thick it was barely understandable that he was speaking English. He stated so****ing to the effect that the call must be returned, that the IRS was bringing suit, then ended the message with "have a blessed day." Nice touch. We won't be calling.

I told them I have a right to challenge it. And I'll need that in writing. He said he was sending a officer out to arrest me. I lol. And told him no one trust the IRS right now so excuse me for not trusting you. And that I know my rights. And if they want to come on to my property you better bring a lot of guns.

I got a call from this number and told me that IRS have filled a case a***nst me as my tax filing are not mat****g with my earned income. Initially i got scared as he told me that i may have to go in prison. But i asked which year's tax has issue and he said that it is 2007 and 2009. So i asked i was not in USA even in 2007 as i am nonimmigrant worker here and that guy got caught and he said blah blah blah and ***g up the call!!! Be aware guys!!!

called back they asked for my name told them and asked a***n he said what are you deaf? told him

Called and left a message on a Sat saying they were the IRS. the voice sounded like a cyclops

They just called our house claiming to be the IRS. Don't fall for it, it's a scam. Please don't give them your cc or bank info!!! They are crooks. He said his name was Luke Watson with a really thick Indian accent. Heather Grey also left a voicemail saying she was from the IRS and we needed to call back asap with an urgent matter. They called twice today!!
