Anonymous I received a text message from this cell telephone number ( which looks to be from Washington D.C . ) on Monday October 02, 2023 . The text message stated : Guess who I am

Anonymous Amber, a woman with a foreign accent who answered this phone number gave me her address as 200 Independence Ave SW, in Washington DC. She said that I was awarded a grant of $9000 by the Federal Reserve Bank in New York. She said she will send me that amount through Western Union and I could receive it immediately at Walgreen, Dollar General, CVS, Family Dollar, or Publix. I chose Publix. Her instructions to me were to go there and buy a $200 card to register with the Federal Reserve Bank in New York. She****ured me that as soon as I did that I will receive the $9200 wire. She did not tell me what type of card I need to buy because I told her that I cannot go to Publix until tomorrow. I STRONGLY SUSPECT FRAUD

The people belonging to this # (202) 573-7723, along with some other #'s (908) 671-1502, (416) 628-1072 and (316) 837-1738 are suspected of hacking into accounts and withdrawing money.

I believe he is part of a money scam. Over one week has asked 3x for money from me for a repair on his off s**** oil rig. I did not send $$

jh I have received several calls, sometimes two or more a day, from this number.  It is a man with a heavy middle eastern accent claiming to be Mike Johnson from the Bureau of Justice Statistics.  He says there has been a lawsuit filed a***nst my name and SS# and if I do not call back right away I will be arrested.  He says he needs to discuss my case and if I do not call all he can do for me is wish me good luck as the situation unfolds upon me.  As I have not responded to any of these messages he stopped calling for a few days.  He has begun a***n using the name Mike Jefferies and has a new number 202-630-6752.  The message is the same each time as being read from a script.
