The female on the other end of the phone, that spoke with a thick accent that seemed to come from somewhere in a desert, and said that I had been chosen to receive an $8,000 grant because I am "a good citizen" and I "pay my taxes on time" and I have "no criminal record", etc. She said she was from the US Treasury Dept in DC....Hahaha where's my letter? I'm pretty positive the US Treasury Dept does not have time to bother with calling every ****** individual in the US that "pay their taxes on time." She even laughed at me when I asked her to repeat herself because I couldn't understand what she said. Very professional US Treasury Dept!

I have not heard from them for over 24 hours since I blew a whistle very loud in the speaker of my phone. Try it, you will like it.

I have been getting calls from this number for about a week. I finally answered today and told w***ver was listening on the other end to stop calling me or I was going to call back and report harrassment.

I have received numerous calls for the last two days [ count them, 2 days] from this number plus at least one more number. These people offer everyone the same gifts, [ scams]. Someone in authority needs to stop these as_holes before the elderly fall victim to these scams.

I have received calls from 202-666-8460, 202-551-8000, plus. There is no conversation when I answer my phone, just someone laughing on the other end.

Get a whistle and **** it into the phone as loud as you can.

I just received a call claiming he worked for the US Federal Goverment Department and I was choosen to received $500 dollars to spend on education, a trip, home imporvment...etc. I told him if I was choosen why didnt I receive a letter from the government telling me? I told him I do not feel comfortable and you can go ahead and give it to someone else... and I ***g up.

202-666-8460 called my house today 3 times. I answered the 3rd time and heard clicks and ***ody answered and I ***g up. Ugh!

Too many junk calls. I never answer numbers I do not recognize

These people called me three times a day for two days but left no message. As I did not know the know the number, I did not answer it. I ran the number and find all these remarks about them. The next time they called, I answered it and a guy named Brian said he was calling from the Government Treasury Department. He said that today only they were giving away $8,400.00, but a***n for today only and I was the lucky receipent. I verified he said he was from the Government Treasury Department and he said yest. I told him that was funny because I work for the Government and we don't have any give aways going on. He ***g up right away.

For THREE straight days these people have been calling me, at first I ignored it, I wasn't expecting a call from DC so I believed it to be a scam, which it is. Finally I pick up the phone because they are annoying persistent and she tells me this whole thing about how I've earned grant money because the government has found my behavior acceptable (i.e. never been to jail, no tickets, etc.) but the moment she said "And because you don't have any standing debt." I knew, because what college student doesn't have a debt? I immediately told her to stop calling me and ***g up. Please, please, PLEASE make these people stop, it's irritating!

This is actually a redirected number from Jamaica. The tell (for this and any other call of this type) is the "OK" at the end of every statement. The scam is; you get a grant, tax return, free money but before they deposit it the want your ID, SSN & Bank info ~OR~ they ask you to purchase a 'GreenDot' card and add $199 to it for fees/admin cost.

These people were calling my phone to offer me $8,400.00 dollars from tge government. When i told them that i'm working for the government; they ***g up the phone. I called back no one picked-up. Please be aware of this number please...stop these people now...
