neo These callers get very nasty if you try to ask any reasonable questions about how your name was selected or for a third party number to verify this with a local legislator's office. These same calls were originally coming from a number that was traced to Eastern Europe on reverse look-up and all callers have heavy accents that make it difficult to understand anything they are saying except for 'free money' and the amount quoted has c****ed several time. There has to be a way to find and prosecute these people.
lisa they called me 3 times today the first they didn't answer the 3rd time they called and then finally said that they were the government talking about the drug and marijuana company saying theyll give me 8,400$ and and when I said no thankyou they were like your sure? your missing a chance to get 8,400$

Larry First call was from a man telling me he was from the Gov. in Washington DC and my number was selected to receive 8400 in free money. I just had to give them some personel information. Not happenin. The second call was from a lady with the same stic. Both calls within 30 mins.
delbert these people can not take no for a answer if you see this number dont answer all they want is you have a grant for 9000
Tommy This Caller-ID number has been calling my cell phone every single day for weeks. I answered the first time, and there was a din of noise in the background indicating that it was definitely some sort of Boiler-Room Operation telemarketing center. A male voice with a very thick accent [of unknown origin] asked, "Can I talk to Kelly?" I replied, "There is no Kelly here." He retorted in an angry tone, "Yes there is! But I will talk to you. You have money coming from a lawsuit and all we need is some personal information to complete your pay-out." Yeah. Sure thing, buddy. I immediately used some carefully selected and intelligibly enunciated English words to encourage them to remove my number from their call list and never call my number a***n. They've never NOT called a day since. They never leave a message. After the 3rd time, I added them to my phone's auto-reject list, and every single day since I still get phone notifications that the same number has called and been auto-rejected.

Nick The female on the other end of the phone, that spoke with a thick accent that seemed to come from somewhere in a desert, and said that I had been chosen to receive an $8,000 grant because I am "a good citizen" and I "pay my taxes on time" and I have "no criminal record", etc. She said she was from the US Treasury Dept in DC....Hahaha where's my letter? I'm pretty positive the US Treasury Dept does not have time to bother with calling every ****** individual in the US that "pay their taxes on time." She even laughed at me when I asked her to repeat herself because I couldn't understand what she said. Very professional US Treasury Dept!

This guy also used the $8400 government money scam. I said if you work for the United States Treasury Department then you must give me your employee number. He made up a number 4612 which no government employee number is that short and then he proceeded to tell me when I asked his name that is was Randy Newman.
