they state they are from the irs

melinda BEWARE -- just received call from this number. claimed i would receive $8,400 grant from us govt for free. would not have to pay back. but to receive money i would have to supply my credit card, debit card, bank account, savings account, or some other card or account number. they would not send check.

got a call they were trying to get my credit card info, I told them I dont use credit cards . The calls continued however now as soon as I answer they **** up. my guess is it is a tellemaketer and when I answer the phone my info stating I have no credit card comes on the computer screen so they **** up. You can always call your phone company and block any phone number, I like to try keep them on the line and make them pay a little extra for the phone call

Called and said I had a grant for $8000 waiting for me to pick up, and would not have to pay back. This is a scam. I have not applied for any type of grants or financial****istance.
