Here's how it works anytime they google a number and it is a number they are trying to currently collect a debt from they see your post of any item for sale. You should never use your real name or number on anything online. Get a google number from out of the area. When you speak with buyer only give your address if they seem like a legitimate buyer never post address either.

Answered they asked for a first name. person and they was a collection agent. the number is a Washington D C number.It is a cell phone.

No words spoken and it sounded completely silent on their end.

I received a call this evening after I posted an item for sale on craigslist today. It has happened before.

Answered, asked who is calling and was giving a woman's first name. Asked a***n who was calling and was a***n given a woman's first name. Then stated I did not know her and asked for clarification of who, or whom she was calling my number for, she stated IC Systems, and I told her I did not know any such company and ***g up. Blocked the number. If I did owe money, and I don't, I think that anyone using your information should have a LEGAL OBLIGATION to properly have their identification on caller ID and the very first thing identify their COMPANY, not their name first to you. This is what our country represents a lot of lying, misrepresenting, scamming, users of personal information. I am tired of it.

Have had several calls from this number with no message left on my voice mail. My personal policy is to not answer calls from numbers I do not recognize. The calls seem to be increasing in frequency but so far not to the level that some are reporting in their comments.

This number called my cellphone. I answered. No one seemed to be on the other end and call was automatically disconnected after 10 seconds. I've received similar calls in the past. THIS ****S! (Checked another website--which indicates this phone number is from a VoIP user in Washington,DC)

Has to be a scam they call me all the time. If it weren't a scam then there would be no problem leaving a voicemail.

I keep getting calls like this asking for different people. Some say they are looking for shelly or dave.  we told our carrier to block the numbers and they said they did but more people call and say the same thing. i just dont answer.

Got a call about an hour ago, no message, grr.  I have *** as my internet but it's current so I'm not sure what this would be about.

They're making the rounds. Called this AM. (Cell) since I have a prepaid cellphone, not a typical wireless provider, its unlikely that they could connect my name with my number. In otherwords, I suspect scam. (With this type of phone its not uncommon to get calls for someone who might have ahd the number years ago.)

Seems like this "Rob" guy is from the fraudulent company trying to pose as a consumer.  Don't listen to him.

This number keeps calling, after I ignored and blocked a similar 651 number. Its the same company. Be warned, block it, its "outstanding debt" that you never owned or never had dealings with the company. No information given from the people on the other end of the phone call. Seems to be nothing more than a phishing scam.

Either way, use your service provider to block this #. From what I've gathered it's all a phishing scam trying to gather personal information about you... Not legitimate company. Shady business scam.

Have got numerous calls on my cell asking for someone I've never heard of. Refuse to give name or company name.

I'm glad I found this site. This number keeps calling my cell every night. He said he said he was with some agency I never heard of. When I asked his name he said Michael.. no last name? So****ings fishy about this number.

they ***g up so i googled the number. now that i see these posts, i won't answer if they call a***n.

It calls my cell phone.  I didn't recognize the number so I blocked it, but it's still able to leave messages on my voice mail.  It says it's a debt collection agency.  This has to be false because I've paid off all my debt.

Its a debt collector based in DC. In my case it was to collect on an overdue *** communications account. They seemed a littel fishy at first but pretty friendly a forward with info once they verify your iden***y. once you give payment they give you about 5 different confirmation numbers and their website info. I did all of that with matt (collector) on the phone and they checked out.

It's some group called IC Systems. I'm not happy they called my cell phone. When I called them back, they said they were in "customer retention/satisfaction" and wanted my phone number to "see why they called." No thanks, I said. When I googled IC Systems, it came up with http://www.icsystem.com/, saying collections but I have no outstanding debt.
