Anonymous I need to know if I getting scammers

Stated unclaim funds from Washington DC Received a call to give me unclaimed fund from Washington DC to direct deposit in my bank account. When I would not agree to deposit in the one account they said they had on file, I was asked for my user name of another account but did not need to provide the account number. The person on the phone would not agree to mail me a check because it was suppose to already set up in their data base to deposit the funds. Seems very unusual.

Worded as if response to loan requests and presents to elicit a text back. When blocked, texts continue to come showing dollar amounts in thousands, different every time. Block, cookie wipe, ad i.d. c****e, etc. on phone not helping. Went on for weeks. Scary.

Recorded message asks for a person by first name, immediately followed by: "Hello I'm Becky Sprague calling on behalf of the National Republican Congressional Committee..." No doubt asking for money.
