Claimed to have contacted wrong person and then wanted to talk more on a texting app called telegram

This phone number was a scam (203) 309-8866 I got a call and the person was acting funny and said he was my grandson and got in a wreck and was under arrest in the court and hurt. Wanted me to call this number which was his lawyer and wanted me to call him and help him. I told the call I will see what I could do and ***g up. I did nothing and then about 20 minutes later the phone and it was from this number (203) 309-8866 and the person stated he was a lawyer representing my grandson. I asked him what is my grandsons name. He would not give me a name so when I told him he is a ******* and he should be: and he ***g up and never heard from him a***n.

I think he a fraud
