Is this the organization that these people are calling for? I just wanted to update everyone on my progress with the Poa Georgia phone calls. I called my telephone co. and they first recommende that I go baallsck on the do not call registry and reregister with them. Then there is also an area on there that you can report phone numbers and give complaints. Last thing they told me was to call them back if this did not work and they would connect me with there harrassment department. Then we would write a formal complaint and get the police involved. Since I have caller ID I have all the proof I need of there phone callis s. Well I did the 1st 2 on this list and so far they have stopped calling. I reported this number to the do not call list and they have stopped. It has been about 1 month now so I will let you all know if it continues. I have to agree with you all. The telephone co. is paid by each one of us and they should be doing there job. Complain complain complain!! I know that this is not the right way but for this situation I feel it truely is right. 4/8/10I too am receiving annoying and constant calls from this number.  With the number of messages I see being sent to you and just having talked with someone at the Police Benevelent****oc. they too have a board filled with calls from people calling about the calls they are receiving from this same number, why can you and the telephone company not get together and put a stop to this?It is NOT the customers responsibility to handle this problem!.

4/8/10  For a month now, these calls have s****ed a***n. I have ask nicely and not so nicely that they not call our home ever a***n.  I explained that we are on SS and do not have the money to help. Wednesday morning, a call came in, they asked to speak with my husband, I explained he was not available, they ***g up on me.  Last evening at approx 7pm, another call came in, I ignored this one.  Today at 3pm, we got another call and when I answered the phone, I was once a***n ***g up on.I called the telephone company and registered our phone once a***n on the "do not call" national registry.  I realize this is not going to work.  I then tried calling the 205-402-4500 number these calls are coming from and of course, you cannot get your call through. My next step was looking them up on the computer by typing in Police Officers of America of Ga (poa.gov);  This brought up the Police Benevolent****oc of Ga and a very nice lady spoke with me. She checked the telephone number on her board and reported that the board if full of calls from people complaining.I think WE all need to complain to the telephone company and have them fix it so that these type of calls can be blocked and they follow through with legal steps.  Why should we their customers have to do all the work to protect ourselves and get NO results?Is there anyone else out there who agrees with me? If so,let me know.

I  have had calls from poa Georgia for months now. It s****ed out with them asking for a donation and i agreed the first time. They then proceeded to call a couple of days later for another donation and I politely said no, not at this time. Since then I have received at least 2 calls a day sometimes more where they **** up on me and my husband. I decided to ignore the calls and not answer but they still call. They will not stop. Anyone have any ideas other then c****ing my phone #??? We also tried to call the # back but it will not connect us. We tried blocking them too but it will not let us. It has so****ing to do with the 205#. I don't think anyone should ever have to deal with these people. It is very very wrong and I would think it would be considered harassment.
