Judge Judith EilerSeattle District Court516 3rd AveSeattle Washington98104This judge not only causes financial harm, she also damages reputations.I am not getting calls from this number but I think this site is easier to post reviews on businesses and other issues.I had the misfourtnue of dealing with this judge in March of 2009. In October 2008 I had an electrical problem in my apartment, and after talking to several people including companies that do inspections, I was told that the problem was serious. Since I was not able to afford three to five ***dred dollars for an inspection, one of the electricians that I talked to, suggested that I call the fire department. I had to call them twice to get my apartment manager to fix the problem. After I thought it was repaired, I continued to have problems. When I brought this to the managers attention, she threatened that she would have me evicted if I called the fire department a***n. That was not the only problem that I had with this woman. On many occasions she kept me under surveillance for over a five year period, and when my neighbor suddenly became interested in the electrical issue and pretended that he was trying to help. I found out that she was using him to keep track of everything that was going on in and out side my apartment for years. He s****ed by making a point of running into me in the neighbor hood when ever I would go out to run errands. Then he would stop me in the hall when ever I left my apartment or came home to talk with me. Sometimes he kept me in the hall for over an hour. I finally told him that I had things to do. He took this very personally and stormed into his apartment and slamed the door. Then, he s****ed to watch me when I was on the balcony, and invited me to come over for a glass of wine. I had no privacy. When he took an interest in helping me with the electrical issue, I discovered he was calling the manager, and reporting my intentions to her. I also discovered in my conversations with him that she was talking to him about personal landlord tenant issues. Gale talked to him about my rent being paid late a few years back when I was going through difficult times. She also realeased other personal financial information to him. I also discovered that my neighbor was calling the manager to tell her when I was leaving or arriving. He would also stand outside in the hall to listen to me when I was talking on the phone. On one occassion I saw the manager leaving my apartment, and then she ran into my neighbors apartment to hide. This manager entered my apatment when I was out, many times when there was no emergency and never gave notice. When I came home the dead bolt was unlocked. I told the manager that I wanted a electricain to do an inspection on the electrical problem. Someone who didn't work for them. I wanted to choose the electrician to****ure that there was no bias, and the inspection was accurate. The Property manager said that if I choose the electricaian I will have to pay. Otherwise he would choose the electricain and if it was discovered that there was no further problem, I would have to pay. I told the Property Manager that this is his responsibility, and I don't have to pay for anything. If I were in his s***s, I would do what I have to do to make sure that this is a safe place to live. He planned to have an electrician come out the following Monday. I reminded him that if anything happened, he is responsible for putting this off, and I would call the fire department. Then, later in the day my neighbor knocks on the door and he wants to know what they are going to do. Then he s****s to grill me with questions about my intentions, looked at some of the rooms where the electrical problem was, asked me if I was going to call the fire department, and asked me " Didn't you agree to pay for the electrician if there wasn't a problem?". Later I found out that he has been reporting to the mgr, and conspiring all along.When I told my neighbor that I knew everything, and I asked him not to knock on my door or attempt to talk to me in the hall, he s****ed to complain about the decorations in the hall and tore them down. Before he would stop me in the hall and use the decorations as an excuse to talk to me. He would go on and on about how much he appreciated them, and then proceeded to talk to me for an hour. Every now and then he would say that he knew that I had things to do and he was going to let me go. Then he would continue to talk. All of a sudden, he had a problem with the decorations, because I refused to talk to him. Now I know that he was taking an interest in me, and after he found out that there wasn't anything in it for him, he became very agressive in spying on me. He also retaliated a***nst me through the apartment manager. I came to believe that the manager encouraged this all along. When I talked to the manager on December 19th about my neighbor tearing my decorations down, she said that she didn't want to go up there, because she claimed that he****aulted her on one occassion and he was probably in one of his moods because he was having problems with his boy friend. When she didn't get a response out of me, she said or maybe he has a girl friend. She claimed that he****aulted her once and she was surprised that he was still allowed to live there. So why didn't she file a restraining order a***nst him. Why because it was a lie. She was playing favorites and she allows this guy to do what ever he wants. She didn't want to talk to him because, she didn't want to do anything about it.When I was in the managers office in February of 2009 to talk to her about other repairs, I also asked her why she was talking to my neIghbor about my personal affairs and she****aulted me. Then she called the police to accused me off****aulting her. When I talked to the Property Manager about this, he said the manager accused me of the same thing. I realized that the manager was only interested in damage control. He had no intention of doing anything. Later I discovered that the manager applied for a restraining order. I also applied for a restraining order. When I was in Judge Eiler's court room she was very polite and allowed the manager to state her case, and listened intently. When I was talking she cut me off and interrupted me several times when I tried to expain, and present evidence of retaliation. The manager was putting 3 day notices on my door forcing me to pay fees that I didn't owe, or she would evict me in the middle of my lease. Not only did this happen before we went to court, but there were several 3 day notices put on my door after the court date. It didn't stop unitl they realized that several tenants planned to move out. They had a lot of vacancies and they couldn't afford another one. The manager also claimed that the Judge required me to pay for the court fees for the order. The Judge never stated that. This restraining order is a violation of the Landlord Tenant Act. It was intended to retaliate a***nst me for calling the fire department. When the inspector came to my home he told the manager to fix it now, or else. She didn't like being told what to do, especially in front of me. Not only did this manager rip me off by several ***dred dollars, she also made it very clear that she was not going to refund my deposit. When I moved out, I didn't get a refund. One of the guys that helped me to move tried to back the truck up in the drive way, and he s****ed the surface of the drive way. The manager made a big deal about that. If you take a look at their parking lot and driveways, it is very clear that the lot is not important to them. There are *****s and holes everywhere. So I am guessing they just helped themselves to my deposit claiming they needed it for repairs. Repairs that consist of metal s****ing the surface, creating nothing more than a scratch. Which is nothing, when you consider the parking lot and the driveways should have been replaced years ago.I did have a chance to talk to some of the neighbors, when they came by and asked me why I was moving. I explained what happened to me, and they also complained that they had problems with this manager being a bully when repairs need to be taken care of. These people also had electrical and plumbing problems. The problem is, it is hard for some of these people to come up with money to move and another deposit, so they tolerate the problem until so****ing serious comes up. I just heard a few weeks ago that the Seattle City Councel passed a proposal that requires landlords to have a rental licence, and inspections. When I called them and explained what happend to me, they said your situation is exactly why we passed this proposal. He thought that this was a extreem case of landlord tenant abuse.At the end of my lease the manager offered me a new lease. Normally I am allowed to read my lease, and I have done so, for the past five years, but for some reason the manager refused to mail or post the lease on my door so that I can read it. In her notice to me, she requred that I come into her office to go over the lease and claimed that it is the same lease as usual, the rent amount is the only difference.However the restraining order says that I am not allowed to go in her apartment or her office. The manager insisted that I can come into her office, she can talk to me, but I am not allowed to talk to her. This woman was clearly trying to get me to sign a lease that I wasn't allowed to read, and then have me arrested. When I called the police about the harassment, and a civial stand by, they went to her office to talk with her. I talked to the police about my concerns and all the retaliation that I have had to put up with, but I didn't have another apartment to go to at the time. I was still looking. If I did sign a lease it would not be for a year, just 3 to 6 months so that I could find a place. The police asked her if I could read the lease. They were in her office for almost 20 minutes, when the manager finally gave the officers a 20 day notice that said I was a valued tenant, but they were not going to renew my lease, and I had to move at the end of the lease. I discovered that one of the reasons I was having a difficult time finding a new apartment, was due to the fact that she was telling future landlords that she had a restraining order a***nst me, and she had to give me several 3 day notices. These notice were put on my door even when the rent was paid. As a result they declined my application. If I****aulted this woman why would she offer me a new lease? Why was I not allowed to read the lease? Why would she ask me to come into her office if she was so afraid that I was going to****ault her. This judge didn't care about my side of the story, she just awarded the restraining order to the manager without taking into consideration that this is a violation of the Landlord Tenant Act. Several months ago a witness came forward that saw the manager shove me up a***nst the glass door in her office. He is still living there, and he is concerned that if the manager finds out that he talked to some of the other tenants about this, he will loose his deposit as well, and have some of the same problems with this manager.This manager makes up alot of stories about****ault. First she said that my neighbor****aulted her, then she****aults me and lies to the police and the judge about it. In her application for a restraining order she claims that I came into her office complaining that my neighbor****aulted me, and then I****aulted her. She made that claim because she wanted my neighbor to write a letter to the judge on her behalf, and threatened him that if I got a restraining order a***nst him he would have to move out. He was frantic and desperate, so he did what ever she wanted. She got the Property Manager to write a letter, the maintenance guy, her husband, and she got one of the tenants to serve me papers. All of these people had so****ing to ***n or loose. Also there are tenants at the complex that do favors for her because they are desperate to keep their rent down.Judge Eiler claims that she is overwhelmed with her case load, and she is the sole provider for her family. That is no excuse! I s****ed taking care of people in my family when I was a child, and I didn't treat people like ****. This woman is on a power trip, and she abuses her position just because she feels like it. I also think that there are some serious low self esteem issues involved. Eiler claims that she didn't become a judge because she wants people to like her, she just doesn't put up with a lot of gobbly****. What kind of judge talks like this. I would expect a more professional vernacular from a judge. Eiler denies being verbally abuseive to anyone in her court, She says that she may have been abrupt. Well that is not the word I would use. Judge Eiler says that she resents being****ociated with the Judge Judy image. I don't think she has to worry about that, Eiler would put Judge Judy to shame. When I was in Eiler's court room she was very rude, a***sive, she cut me off, used intimidation tactics, and she didn't allow me to present hard copy evidence of retaliation from my apartment manager. As a result, when people find out that there was a restraining order a***nst me they will just****ume what ever they want, with out knowing the facts. Further more, I was not allowed to present my case or evidence that my managers intentions were to use this order to retaliate a***nst me further, and that, this order is a violation of the Landlord Tenant Act. Eiler didn't allow me to defend myself.The only nice thing that I can say about this judge, is that omish look really works well for her, since she has to wear a black robe anyway. However, she could really learn a lot from the omish, about grace, dignity, and respect for others. At this point, I really don't think this woman even respects herself.
