Anonymous Scam of someone pretending to be with the Sheriffs Department and says there is a warrant out for your arrest for not showing up to jury duty. This guy says he is Deputy Davenport with the King County Sheriffs Department. Confirmed with the King County Sheriffs Department that it is a scam, and a sophisticated one at that.

Heavily accented male voice. He said I was being awarded a $9,000 grant. All of the information they read off was slightly inaccurate (I didn't correct them) and everything sounded too good to be true. I just ***g up before they could ask me to send them anything.

My cell phone text said this is a SPAM RISK. I did not answer the call. I am on a NO CALL LIST and I still get these calls. The phone number is 1-888-382-1222 for the NO CALL LIST.

This number called my mother and the caller pretended to be my daughter. They were crying and saying they had been in a car accident and needed my mother to call to get a lawyer. Very Concerning.

Fraud, they make small people like me believe that it is our time to receive a blessing , and then come to find out they want money, I was on my way to haveing nervous breakdown, and I s****ed recording phone calls about a grant of 7000 dollars I thought ***her God right on time *** thank you Jesus!! And then the "all u have to do is send us 280. Dollars to receive this grant *********, I thought I was gonna just die, what a huge disappointment, they should be ashamed of them selves. They kept on calling and texting and just wouldn't stop. It ain't right man.

Christine My relative had picked up the phone call from this number. The man idenitifed himself as Mr. Carter from LLC Company. He informed my relative that he has legal papers with my name on it. This is in clear violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

This number contacted me and stated they were from the United States Grant Funding and that I had been selected to receive $7,000, would I please tell them my bank acct information, or Visa/Mastercard information, or would I like cash? I told them cash, they gave me this phone number and told me to call back in 15 minutes and that I was to have a confirmation number and speak to a Kenny Lawson. Sounds American, huh? NO ONE with whom I spoke with sounded American. I had to have them repeat over and over and over a***n the information because their English was so broken. Sounded Iranian, ****stani, or Indian to me. So I called back and they confirmed with me that I wanted the Cash option to recieve my US Grant. Well, I was told to go to my nearest Western Union, call them back, and then they would give me a routing number to send $200. WHAT???? I have to send $200??? Oh, yeah, they aren't allowed to touch that money!!! SCAM!! And I ***g up on him when he s****ed spouting these rules that I must under ANY cir***stance obey! 1. Do NOT tell the person at WU what I am doing. 2. Do not say anything about receiving grant money to anyone at WU, because, 3. they will charge me a higher rate. NO, NO!! They will advise me that what I am about to do is a SCAM!!!!!!!!!
