I didn't answer as I didn't recognize the out-of-state area code. They didn't leave a message. I'm on the Do Not Call list.
It was a telemarkerter. Said hi sname was "Keith" and was "GE alarms" They are selling alarm systms and are requesting to place signs on your property for display. By allowing them, they'll hook you up with a free alarm system. Be very cautious with people or businesses you don't know. They can use this to do home invations. it was a call placed to my CELL PHONE.
called with a scam-free security system. filed online complaint with national do not call registry.
Called - left no mesage
asc security offerring a 'free' home security system
Called my cell phone and I am on a do not call list. Claimed to be a security company that would exc****e a free security system for a sign in our yard. I told that I don't make those decisions. Annoying.
I got the same call, Security system company told me that one of their on-line clients passed along my information and he wanted my name to send me to someone else. I asked him which company and he just repeated it was one of their on-line clients. I told him if my information was passed on to him, then he would have my name. He then said he had a recording and played it for me. It was my voice saying a really jumbled up name. That tells me he recorded me as we were speaking and then played back two words scrambled so I would say no, that's not my name, my name is... Only I didn't fall for it. I told him I had had the same number for 10 years and that was not my name and no one elses name could be****ociated with my number. He then realized he had been caught out and told me to have a nice day and ***g up. SCAM!!!!
I don't always have time to answer my phone and expect people to leave a message. They don't , and when I called back they don't answer. It's a set up....
Called my cell phone. I'm suppose to be on a national do not call list.
home security
My phone rang 3X. They ***g up. Google search says unpublished landline in Seattle.
Called my cell phone from Washington--I thought that was illegal. I'm on a national do not call list.
I highly doubt they are scouting houses to rob, since they are in Seattle and I am in Pa. It's just a sales pitch to sell alarm systems
Caller stated he want to give away a home security system---said no thank you. then I ended the call.
Caller tried to give away a home security system if I would agree to advertise with a sign in my front yard, and would give my full name so they would know who they were talking to. I hesitated and told them I would not give my full name due to the scams out there. The caller thanked me and ***g up. By the way, I am on the governor's no-call list.
"Hi, this is Kevin from Home Security Group. We're looking for adverti*****t opportunities in your area, and we were wondering if you'd like a free home security system in exc****e for putting a sign in your yard." uhh. That would be a "no". I'd rather not get a fake system and have you steal my stuff. Besides, why are you calling my cell and not my landline?
Sounds like they'd like to come into your home, case the place -put in a bogus alarm system. Slap a sticker in your home to identify you to their collegues. And take the stuff you've worked hard to get.
He's still doing it. I reported the number to the do not call complaint form.
(206) 397-1523 - how can this fruit cake sell a home security system when this phone is a landline in Seattle WA.It is a scam
If you call the number back, it says it will put you on their "do not call list" who knows if it works or not but it is worth a try.
called on 5/20 at 11:30 am Identified as a home security company and wanted to know if I was interested in a free system if I would let them put a sign in my front lawn. I told them that I had 2 mean dogs and that was all the security I needed. The guy said ok and ***g up.
I received this call on my cell phone and did not answer because I did not know who this was. I thought solicitors couldn't call your cell phone.
Been getting calls from this # and several like it. Voicemail says, "thank you for not ****ing up, if you are not interested in receiving future calls, please dial 1 now". When I get to do that, or call them back to do so (as I didn't catch my phone in time), it does no good. The number still calls and doesn't remove it from their list. I know how these systems work and should already know pushing 1 won't remove me. But, I tried.
Got a call on my cell at 9pm 5/19. Same story as above trying to sell me a home security system in exc****e for putting a sign on my lawn. No idea how he got my number, I've been on the DNC list for 3 years. I logged their number in the FTC complaint site.
206-397-1523 just called my cell phone, I answered and some [removed:lang]said he was "Kevin with Home Security Group" and he was like "how are you today?" I ***g up without saying a word. Just looked it up to see *** and found this site. Sounds like a scam, glad I didn't say anything to him!

Received this call on my cell phone just minutes ago. Did not answer and decided to look up the number. No voice mail was left so it couldn't have been important.
