Called my home, left a msg. Name: Officer Steve Parker, Internal Revenue calling and informing me there was a legal action suit a***nst my name for Tax Fraud and that I was to call 206-567-7680 Informing me of final notice before I was arrested and to give them a call. I notified TIGTA at www.treasury.gov to report the scam and gave into on the online form.

Received a call from this number from "Office Steve Harker," claiming I had Red flags: First, the message actually claimed to be from a law-enforcement agency rather than from the IRS itself. Either way, they're not going to use a phone to make contact. That kind of stuff is done either by secure mail or by someone actually showing up at your door if you actually have to go to court over it. If the police do get involved, it'll be your own local department - while the call did not say what jurisdiction the "officer" worked for, the number was not local. If you get a call like this and concerned about missing so****ing serious because you mistook the real thing for scam, find the phone number for the IRS yourself and check. Do not use the number the caller provided. If there's pending action, the IRS will be able to confirm it and work with you - or they'll be able to ease your mind that there really isn't.

I got same call stating they are IRS and in tax trouble. It is a scam. Do not answer or call back.
