Leave a CommentMy elderly mother-in-law got a call from these scammers as well -- she doesn't have caller ID, so not sure if they called from this number, but this is what they told her to call back to claim the "$3.5 million and a Mercedes" that she won in a contest from Waldbaum's! The guy wanted a $500 "processing fee" and told her the prize could only be claimed by someone over 50. Fortunately she recognized it as a scam but quite possibly they are targeting the elderly as she lives in a senior community. I hope they track him down.
THIS COMPANY ALSO CALLS FROM # 876-408-1915. SCAM!!!!!!!! ****BEWARE**** This is NOT answered like a business phone when answered it's just a man answering saying*****o. I told him I thought I dialed the wrong number and asked who I was speaking with. He paused and asked me who I was and when I re-asked who I was speaking with he paused and then gave the name "Robert Dunkin" and asked me first how I got this # and if I had a problem and then told me not to call a***n. These people wil harass you till you want to wring their necks. My advise put your house phone and cell phone #s on block list so they can't get this info.
I received a call from " Robert Dunkin", he said like Dunkin Doughnuts. Told me he was calling on behalf of Mega Bucks Lottery and Sweepstakes Company then saying Congradulations my life was about to c****e, That I had just won $1.8 Million dollars and a ***nd new 2012 BMW with 6 months free gas and free Geico insurance for 1 year and from this point on not to talk to anyone about this without verifing my security code which he gave me because he said people would call trying to fraud me and get this money , lol fraud me like he was?. I knew from the s**** it was a scam so I asked where his company was located and he told me 382 Madison St., Seattle,WA. 98154.He then continued to tell me that because I had won a car that there were state and federal laws to get the paperwork completed and wanted me to send $850.00 by Western Union to cover these costs but that I would get a full refund. I told him to just take it out of the winnings then and I would take the rest, after taxes of course. He then told me it was tax free, I wish. He also stated that the check was already made out to me and that the funds couldn't be taken out anyway. I told him he was a fraud and he told me he would fax me a copy of the check to verify. They sent the fax and the check was written on a Wachovia check account # 1010114176505 which I called Wachovia/Wells Fargo & reported the checking information and they stated that's neither Wachovia or Wells Fargo and they see this all the time so the rep noted the account info and the name of the person calling me , because the check wasn't even signed on the fax. This "Robert Dunkin " called back to make sure I received the fax, his english was bad enough but you could hear people & kids in the background. I told him I received the fax but wasn't sending any money anywhere. He wanted me to Westen Union $850 to Richard Harrison in Rialto, CA. 92377. Well, when I reported to Western Union that Fraud agent laughed as the proper zip to use for that area was 92376. Anyway I gave him both the name of the person calling me and who I was to send to. Then after they relized I wasn't doing Western Union he told me to go to Wal-Mart and get a pre-paid scratch card. When I told him I didn't have that kind of money he finally agreed on $200, which I wasn't going to do anyway. But I told him I would and he said he would call back in an hour to get the information. Well you know when you go to a store and they get you to sign up for their discount card/points card, well when he called back I gave him one of the #s off one of those cards on my keychain. He told me I was 2 numbers short that the Wal-Mart card was 14 digits and I only gave him 12 so I just made up the other 2. He also told me I needed to get a seperate card for $150 to cover other fees which I just gave another points card number this time making sure it was 14 digits. About 15 Minutes later he called back telling me that the #s I gave him didn't work so he wanted to go over them and I told him he got them written wrong swit****g 2 digits around. About 30 minutes later he called a***n, this had been going on all day, but even though it was funny to have them running around calling like idiots for once I told them when they called still with #s that didn't work that I was done that I did to them what they were trying to do to me & ***g up. I then received a call from a woman claiming to be Mr. DunKin's****istant, She was so****ing alright as the kids were carring on in the background. When I asked her who's kids, she responded"what kids? I'm in my office" and the back ground got quiet. She then claimed that if I gave them fraud #s a***n she was going to have me arrestted, which I had to laugh but she believed I was upset/crying and then "Robert Dunkin" got back on the phone telling me he was irratated and not know what was going on, I told him I was done and to quit calling . That was Sa****ay 6-11-11. It is 6-13-11 an"Robert Dunkin" called me blocking his # @ 7:57am this morning wanting to talk. I told him I wasn't doing another day of this **** and to quit calling and not to call a***n. At 9:25am his****istant called me from this number, the other # they were calling from was 876-408-1915, anyway she tried to talk and I filled her in on everything I had done who I had turn them in to and not to ever call a***n she replied with "oh s#^t" was all I heard before I ***g up. They called my cell phone and that was the original # and the only called except once when they called & I was talking to someone else and my cell automatically sends a text with my home # which they called once but that text no longer gives anything but sorry I'm on the other line try a***n or leave a message. Just remember, If it sounds to good to be true, it is!" What people will do.
