It was a robo-call saying her name is Heather and she was calling about my credit cards.  "No problem with the account", she said. Obviously it is a scheme to loan money to pay off credit cards.  I tried to ad the number to my Call Block Service, but was informed that the number is not available.  Somehow they're transmitting a phony caller ID.

THERE WAS A RECORDING THAT SAID PLEASE HOLD, YOU HAVE AN IMPORTANT PHONE CALL. NEVER IMPORTANT TO BE AUTOMATED. THEN THEY CLAIMED TO BE A COLLECTION LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHOM I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF. THEN TRIED TO SAY THE DEBT WAS MINE. ARE THEY SERIOUS.

I am on the American "Do Not Call" list, but now I'm getting unwanted calls from out of the country.  I guess like illegal aliens, Congress is powerless to stop this new, annoying practice also.

PC Received a call-in from complainant that they had received a call from this phone number last week. The number was prefaced with a +44 country code.  The complainant contacted the phone company and said they will be reporting it. The call came in from London. The consumer receiving the call stated that it was a man's voice (****stani accent), who wanted to know if the consumer wanted to buy land in ****stan.

This number calls repeatedly, never leaving a message. The number is actually 44 207 402 3864, a number from England. I have not answered these calls, but am curious if anyone else has seen this number?

Mike W I got a recorded call wanting to know if I wanted lower interest rates on my credit cards.  Did not mention any credit card by name but wanted me to push a number to get a real person on the other end.

bob84 This number keeps calling. I am registered with the Do Not Call list but they insist on calling about a almost to expire car warrantee.  This is a major violation of the Do not call list.  When I talk to the seller they are unreasonable and refuse to accept my request to "Do not call".

Recording says, "this callis to inform you that your vehicle...blah, blah.  I'm at work and receive these calls all the time.  It is very annoying.  I called the number back to tell them to take us off their list and recording says the number is no longer in service.  Harrassment!
