Sadly, Fedup obviously is a bitter person. HALO is a very well respected and wonderful organization. We've adopted several times and likely will continue as long as we are able.
I just tried calling that number back and, even though it's only been 2 hours since it was an incoming call on my caller ID, it's DISCONNECTED! What legitimate nonprofit organization operates like this? I have filed with the DNC, even though it's a non-profit because they HAVE been told, many times, not to contact us.The website halorescue.org also has some rather su****ious looking financial statements, for a non-profit. I think there's a scam in here, somewhere. I don't think they are operating legitimately & I hope they government catches up to them.
This is a Washington, ME landline that was a pre-recorded message from Heather Allen at Halo Animal Rescue in P***nix, AZ "inviting" us to an event to give them money. We told them when we adopted a dog in 2008 never to contact us or release any of our information - no solitciting, etc. They have CONTINUOUSLY violated that and made us regret adopting. This is BAD for those poor animals! (Their facility is horrid!) Why should good people overpay to save an animal only to be punished for it for years afterward???This is a ****** company hiding under the non-profit protection rules. It's sickening.
