Leave a CommentI keep getting calls from this number and no says anything. It's annoying and wasting my minutes. What do we do to make it stop?
So are they a collection agency or sales? I've been getting calls from this number for almost 6 months and it's driving me nuts! I've never answered or tried to call them back. Sure wish I could block specific phone numbers.
My caller ID gave me enough info that I googled "Chapman Financial 292-2781" and found this page, so I looked up CF in CdA, called their main contact number and, after being transferred around, told a "financial advisor" I didn't want to be called any more. He said "Mmhm, okay," so I said, "Does that mean you won't call my number?" and he said, "Yes, sir, by federal law, once you tell a collection agency not to call you, we can't call you any more." Well, we'll see.
We keep getting a phone call from this number, and they never leave a message. When we try to call them back, an automated system states "the number or code you have dialed is incorrect. Please check the number or code and try a***n". I've called them once before and advised them I was on the National "Do Not Call" list, asking them not to contact me a***n. They checked their records and told me they didn't have my phone number in their system. Is anyone else having this problem?
I keep getting the same calls from 2 different phone numbers within the hour. But when you return the call the recording says the subscriber you have dialed is no longer in service. About a month ago I received another call from a different no. They said so****ing about a bounce check from 3 years ago from Washington Mutual.(I had a bankruptcy back then) I told them i never had an account with them. I even called the bank and they verified that i never had an acct. I then asked if they had a collection agency with the no that I checked out on reverse calling directory. The bank stating they had never had a collection agent under that name. This unnamed company called on my cell phone which i have only had for 2 years. Cell phone are supposly unlisted. I am getting anoyed as this could affect my credit. And certain jobs require a credit report. So needless to say i am very unhappy.
btw, if anyone wants to be in a position to fight this s***my company, check out http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/pubs/credit/fdc.shtmIt's the Federal Trade Commission website, and has the Fair Debt Collection laws. They also have a complaint form you can fill out. I also noticed advice from someone else on the 800notes website, "get a Cease and Desist Letter from Google and send it to them by registered mail. This is the same way to get rid of ALL collection calls, as the law prohibits contact by collection agencies other than one last contact to state whether or not they will try to pursue the debt in court. None of them will so that will be that !"
The phone calls s****ed about two months ago. They happen once a week, different days & hours, and if I'm not home to answer the phone, the message always s****s with an implausible name like, "Hi, I'm Mrs. Alison" and continues with "Please call me about a personal business problem". Then there's a man's voice with a reference number. It comes off as a scam. After checking both numbers, the one they ask me to call, and the one they actually called from, the 208-292-2781 number is in Coeur D'Alene,ID and the Spokane, WA number, 599-922-4334 is for Chapman Financial Services, a debt collection company. Washington has stricter laws a***nst phone harassment, so they're calling from Idaho to get around them. Now, when I answer the phone (no caller id) if there's a moment of dead air (meaning a computer called), I **** up immediately. There's no message left. The annoying thing is, I don't have any outstanding debt, so I don't know why they're harassing me. I'm looking for a way of getting the harassment to stop. Their website is http://www.chapmanfs.com
I think these are solicitors. That is what they say!But I have not figured out what it is that they are soliciting.I imagine everybody has their own way of making a pest of themselves.
I just got a call from them. The message first s****ed off with a woman who identified herself as "Amber" and that there was a business problem. She followed up with two phone numbers to call (509-789-9225 and 877-528-5077). This was followed up with a reference number spoken in a man's voice: 76####.
yeah it is ticking me off he has called me for about 8 months now same ****** message is left on my phone.
Yup, the calls keep comming in. 3-4 times a week. What is interesting is that when I try to call this number, the automated message says this number doesn't exist.I was tempted to call 1800 number that they tell me to call in the message and give them whole bunch of fake information. I think I'll do that next time they call me.
I received a call from this number with an automated message, "Please call me about a personal business problem." Sounds really fishy to me. Thanks for this info "Caller: Chapman Financial Inc." I think I've seen this before on my caller ID.
I am s****ing to get a lot of automated messages on my cell phone. I get the same ones everyday but the list is building. I'm getting pretty sick of this already.
These people have called me for the past year or so and it is really getting under my skin. they always leave the same message on my phone and always at bad times. I am really annoyed.
The following number has continually called my home and when I finally answered, they wanted to speak with my ex-husband. When I told them that we were no longer married and that he did not live here anymore, the lady asked me to verify his phone number. When I in turn, asked her to tell me what number she had on file, she refused to give me the number and called me a liar.
I keep getting calls from this number with an automated message, "Please call me." I do not like getting unsolicited calls, and am irritated even more when I get a computer message.
