Lady wanted information from my natural gas bill in order for me to receive a discount on my gas bills. When I refused to give her information, she said that I could not receive the discount and ***g up. Beware!

This is a scam, they are trying take over your computer by following their instructions. They are also trying to sell nonessential software. Check out YouTube Microsoft phone scam.

"IRS Checks and Audits Dept" SCAMMER

Man with heavy accent claiming to be from Microsoft. ***g up on him.

Got the Windows Customer Service call today. Told him I had Mac computers, and he said that my Windows was corrupted. Um.....what? If you're going to try to scam people, at least know what you're talking about. Jeez, people--put some effort into your scams!

They have moved on from computer hackers to medical compensation. Claim to be with the FDA yet also tell you if you look up the FDA website you can't read anything about the compensation. They will not send you literature until you give them your info over the phone. Very combative when you tell them no. So foreign you can only understand about 10% of what is being said. Look out people!

screen said texas - said he was from newport beach, ca -- stopped him there and told him where to go (politely)!

This number is spam. They called my phone and asked for my husband. When I ask to take a message I was told it was just a courtesy call. I called the number back and was told it was a non working number.

scam call. Did not answer phone and caller did not leave a message. Since scammer called my number in violation of federal no call law, complaint was immediately filed online on national no call list website.

Called me an idiot because I would not fall for the scam or listen to her. She cursed at me when I told her I could not understand half of the words she said. Caller ID said Providian Financial.

This creep called my 80 year old mother and got her to wire over $800 to a western union account. I got it cancelled before he could come pick it up. We need to find them and prosecute them for harassing the ederly. Same foreign guy - says she has a virus but it isn't true. The caller id came up as Providiansinanc with a phone nyumber of 210-280-8487.

One of two numbers that keep calling my house phone and doesn't leave a message.

Providian Financial This company has been calling my phone number and asking specifically for me for over a month. I repeatedly ask the extremely foreign speaking gentleman to quit calling me. There are numbers from Washington, California, Illinois, etc, but they won't stop calling. Most of the time I won't pick up, but engaged a conversation with the caller today. It's about medical compensation. He said he got my name and number from a hospital from surgery I had. Wanted to know personal things, which I did not answer. Wanted his number to call him back and he gave me different number than on caller id. Then asked for supervisor because I could not understand very much of what he was saying. He ignored me and continued to ask about birth control. I politely told him that I have asked him and his company to STOP calling me, and I'm on the do not call list. He then ***g up. Entire exc****e took about 5 minutes. Phone numbers used: 12/14-1:521 pm-210-280-8487 [number to call him back 408-905-0427]; 12/10-at 2:16 pm and 12/11 at 11:11 - 773-779-8763 Chicago, Il; 11/29 at 2:14 pm 352-415-0411; 11/27 at 7:04 pm 562-646-2102; 11/11 at 6:13 pm and 11/9 at 12:59 pm from Whittier, CA 562-646-2103; 11/12 from Belleview, WA at 6:02 pm from 425-460-6814. None of these phones are in service when you call them back. There were a few other calls in the period that I didn't write down or didn't catch. I did pick them up most of the time to tell them to quit calling. But I don't know how to say it in their language.

This number called my place of employment looking for an employee that had not worked here in over 6 months. He stated it was life or ***** and when I continued to inform him that she no longer worked here, he called back to back over a 10 minute time frame from 4 different numbers. He even said, well ok keep answering the phone until we reach her.

From where are these guys getting our numbers.....just don'y listen and keep calling........***...

Some guy with an India accent told me my computer was trasmitting viruses. Told him I don't have a computer and he ***g up on me.

I've had Texas call all the time but usully I know its a scam. We had just put the kid to bed and didn't want the phone to wake the kid up. The walked me through some ***e ish questions. Are you the lady of the house? Are you smokers? Any allergies? Any pets? our occupations and just my first name. I didn't think anything of it. But she also mentioned that there might be a pize for helping her out. If I get another call I know its a scam for sure! ****** people call at all ours of the day and night :|

Got a call from this number, stating they were a Windows company and my computer had a virus. Tried to walk me through steps, click on s****, right click on computer, etc. I played along like I was following their directions, then got a bit testy with the heavily accented person, asking him if he thought I was ******? Ended up ****ing up on them.

Maybe we should all "flood" our legislators in Washington with these numbers and comments. It's about time somebody took responsibility for getting rid of these trash trollers.

Appears to sell some sort of cruise package. Calls about twice a week. Can't stop 'em from calling.

These calls are two things. First of all, your caller ID is of no use. They 'S****' the caller ID, what that means is they put in a bogus number that they stole from someone (you could be next if you answer your phone!) This way you can not call them back. You can read more at the link below. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caller_ID_s****ing Second, if you answer and get no one at the other end, it's a sequential dialer sear****g for active numbers. What it does is dial ALL the number in an area code or prefix. The line rings, you pick up and it has voice activated equipment that can detect when it hears a voice, be it actually you or your answering ma****e, it now 'knows' it has a active line. It adds it to its list, ****s up on you and progress to the next number. You phone number is worth alot of money! The computer doesn't give a hoot where you are from, they are s****ing the phone company and dialing for free! So, what can you do about this?...NOTHING!!!! Call the local phone company or your wireless provider, ask them...some will tell you they know nothing about it, others will tell you there is nothing they can do. Pretty sad when the phone companies can't even control their own networks!!!!

I got the same messsage, computer generated voice stating they had reached my # in error. I also did not say anything. Very annoying!

This number was on my caller id this afternoon.  A recorded voice said, "Your number was dialed in error."  I had not said anything. ???

I have recd a number of calls from this TX #.  Never leave a msg. I use an unwritten rule: If the caller doesn't give the company caller on caller ID, & doesn't l;eave a msg, guess what?? I'm not going to bother calling them back!! It's that simple, folks!!

Called from TX, he was looking for the person who is in charge for our company's verizon account. but he doesnt have phone number for call back.. also he has no name. kaka. its scam! right!

I have received 3 calls from them in the past two days and they leave no voicemails. I answered finally just now and no answer...it was quiet 30 secs and then they ***g up... Called from TX, USA.

Have called me at least four times while I am at work and don't leave a message. Finally picked up and said they were with Program... so****ing. Had a thick accent so I couldn't totally understand.

I got a phone call from this number and they knew my last name.  They said my computer might have gotten a virus, to go turn it on.  I told her I did not believe her and she said "say that a***n," so I did and she ***g up on me.  Be careful this is a SCAM.  Don't ever give any information out, and make sure your computer is always up to date on protection.

Got the call at 4:19 stated he was for microsoft and my computer was giving error messages and my be in trouble. I asked how he got my number and he ***g up.
