Fed Up I got a call on 5/23/14 at 7:00 pm. The man said he was from the US Health Dept and was calling to learn about my health habits! I said not, I will not answer your questions. Why not? Becasue they are private, that's why! He kept talking and I hung up. I am on the do-not-call registry and will be reporting this number.

Can anyone tell me how to BLOCK 212.448.5501 ? Sooooo sick of this caller. I had a new phone number for less than 48 hours.....and here comes the 212 448 5501 again !!!!! Can no one do anything about them. It says the callers service provider is Verizon, and the calls come from Ny, NY.

Depending on you cell provider you can block these numbers. This one called me daily on my cell, which I only use for family and do not give out. Someone is selling cell numbers.

I don't answer number that I don't know I was a victim of ID theft once so to prevent it from happening again I started by down loading a program like this one on my phone, and never answering the phone when I don't know the number, checking the number to see if it is a spam number, and this here number is 100 percent SPAM so please DON'T ANSWER your phone.

Spammer. Calls all the time. I never set up my voicemail because I hate voicemail. I figure if it's important, my friends, family and coworkers know to text me. Otherwise, I see I missed a call on caller ID and call them back. These ****** bags however, keep calling even though they can't leave a message. This has been going on for months. They are calling my cell phone., which is on the Do not call list. So much for the government protecting us from these people!!

I've answered twice, the first was a political survey and the second was a national health survey. They call repeatedly every day. I want rid of them! They don't leave a message and when you call them back it rings busy. Isn't this illegal??

Marie I just started to get htis caller. They are calling my cell phone. I have caller ID for a reason, I do not pick up calls I do not know. Everyone should do the same, then maybe these nuts will give up. When someone calls and hangs up I feel there is maybe a reason, and that reason could be they are trying to find out if we are home. They try to find out our habits and someday when they feel they know, someone comes looking for you, just my opinion.

Called me at almost 6 o'clock on a Sunday to do some sort of television survey. He was a pain in the butt.

I have started getting calls from this number, first was last night, second one tonight, at almost the exact same time -- 7:15 p.m. I'm saving the contact with a silent ring tone; at least I won't have to hear when they call now! I'll never answer them; hope they give up soon!

cally I received a call from this number and it was a young lady telling me they were taking an internet protection survey. She wanted to know if we had any children under the age of 18 that accessed the computer and how many adults were in the house. It was a little creepy feeling.

karin That phone number calls us continuously and then hangs up. I've tried to call back and get a busy signal. I tried blocking it on my phone, but it still rings once. Tonight they called at 7:32pm, 7:52pm and 8:11pm and the nite is not over yet. I'm reporting them to the ICC. I'm in disbelief that they have been getting away with this since 2006 from all the complaints i've read on the internet. What else can one do to stop them??

Called my place of business saying they were handling a survey for a major banking institution for small businesses. After numerous questions and repeated calls, I got suspicious when they asked what bank I deal with.Hanging up does no good, they keep calling, I will just not allow anyone to answer this number again, but that is difficult in a business situation.

Has called twice both at 8:12p ET. Researched the number, its unpublished landline with Verizon in New York City. When I call the number I get a automated operator message that is staticy which states that my call did not go through, please try again. My number is on the do-not-call list registry so I shouldn't receive any unsolicited phone calls.

Someone called and when I picked up I heard music playing. When I called the number back a recording said the call could not be completed as dialed!

informed the calls your from a national research firm most of the calls are goverment research to make sure YOUR AND MY tax money is being spent wisely on this list here all i see is ignorance if you would listen you would know that all your complaining is just ignorance as they are trying to insure that your getting the correct services and that your own money is spent appropriately

JMG This is ridiculous.  They keep calling and calling.  They go to voicemail, but leave no message.  As everyone else here, I am registered with the DNC database.They call in the morning, but get more persistent after 6:30 (CST).  Most legit business do not call after 6 and in NY (where the call originates), it's after 7:30.Frustrating!!
