Probably the government checking who runs to their computer after getting the call, then doing a search of the number, thus being able to identify your phone number with your IP address.Let's put it this way, I would not put it past them.They could also be waiting for you to talk so they can run a voiceprint on you.  A voiceprint is really pretty low-tech and you could even do it yourself if you have the proper software to see the vi***tions of the vocal cords, then spread them out a bit in a .wav file.

ALWAYS ANSWER THESE TYPES OF CALLS - THEY HAVE TO PAY FOR COMPLETED CALL. KEEP THEM TALKING AS LONG AS POSSIBLE WITH FAKE INFO SO THEY HAVE TO PAY MORE.

Local.com - Free online listing. They also call from a blocked "Private" number. Very annoying.

Daily calls, for many months now.  At least 2 a day from 214-446-9818, but no one is on the line.  The FCC will never do anything.  In my opinion, our only hope is to play along with them when someone is on the line, and attempt to ***n their contact info, so we can publish the actual contact info, for every here to s**** complaining.

I think they are telemarketers or bill collectors for someone other than me as they ask for someone else. Why don't they just call them?

I got the number today when I made an online payment for pet-smart. I gave them my credit card number, and now they have identified me as a credit card/ internet user maybe. I do not have money, I have a birthday that goive me money and that's about it. I thought it was the social security admin.

These people are extremely annoying.  I came back from vacation and they had filled up my caller log but since I hadn't been there, didn't know who they were and quite frankly did not care I just erased it.  HOWEVER...today they have been calling a***n.They called at 9:29 A.M. and a***n at 10:10 A.M. but my husband and I were out running errands so thankfully we were spared the drama. Apparently that wasn't enough so they called back a***n around 2:45 P.M. but when I went to answer the line was dead.  Just now, at 4:59 P.M. they called yet a***n and asked to speak to my husband.  I informed them that he was at work and that as we have received a lot of calls would they please just give me some indication as to what all of this was in regards to.  The woman repeatedly said, "Oh, not to worry we will call back."  I asked to speak to someone and the line went dead.  Oh for Gosh Sakes!

Called once, was told we were on Do Not Call list, called a***n 2 hours later. Neither caller spoke very good English. On 2nd call woman may have been Philipino. First time my husband could not understand caller, told her to remove number and ***g up. 2nd call, they tried to get us to "try Security System for you house for free, you no have to pay if you do not like - I just take your credit card for shipping." I told them they were being reported to the FTC for violating the Do Not Call laws and I did report them for both calls. Report them to www.ftc.gov or they will never be stopped!!!

This company called us twice this morning. The first time, my husband couldn't understand the person as their English was so bad, and told them we were on the Do Not Call list and remove our number from their database. Second time, was offered a "security system for you house, you try for free. You just give me credit card number for shipping." After I stopped laughing, I told them they were in violation of the Federal Trade Commission's Do Not Call laws and they were calling a number that had been registered and I would be reporting them. The person didn't seem to have a clue what the FTC or DNC list was. I finally screamed at them, "you are breaking American laws! Do not call here anymore". I reported both calls to ftc.gov. If they do not get reported, people - they will keep on calling! So please report them to the FTC as this website is only for sharing info, and doesn't take any action a***nst the callers.

Got this number called today. I did not answer the phone since it s not on my phone list. Tried to call back many time, the line never get through.Well, who are you? why should you do that? My number is registered on the National Non Call Lists. Please stop botherring us, and be aware before you got sued.

Calls all the time on my cell phone. Does not leave message and when I try to call back I recieve a message stating it is not a working number. Its ****ing me off. I want to know who this is and how to stop it.

My son is in college and this number keeps calling him, this happen to him once before and he gave them his Debit Card info, thank GOD he talks to me about hings, I had him call and cancel his bank account so they could not take the money out.  I reported them to the FBI.

They are telemarketers apparently from India, I dont know how they get in on that number.

Received call from this phone number to verify my business information for a free listing.  "Free" turned out to be for 30 days then it was $49.95/month.  Told woman to not list my business and never call my number a***n.  She said she'd put my number on the Do Not Call list.

Persisting lying guys. Once business data verified they hook you onto some "free" renewal. When I said I wanted none of it "Grace" ***g me up. Unable to get back on them got the message of "number 888-2109511 has been disconnected". Funny to get an 888 when you dial 214.

Received a call from this number.  Since it wasn't a toll free number and it provided "some" caller ID, I made the mistake of answering it.  Some woman named Julie claimed they were checking my on-line advertising as it was up for renewal.  I told them I had never advertised my business on-line and wanted no such service.  I believe this is related to the LAYP scam using an 877 number.Best call your phone company and block 3rd Party billing.  That scam adds $34.95 per month to your phone bill.

they call my office number five times a day. it's some type of robo-caller device, don't try to return the call because you'll get an error saying it won't connect

These people called twice today for my son who is s****ing college. They asked him if he wanted a government grant. I don't know the exact account of the conversation, but the tried to get his Visa Card number and he almost gave it until his mother put a stop to it. Tell your children that if any one wants to give you so****ing, but want money to give it to them it is a SCAM!!!!

Tried to call this number back and kept getting a "cannot complete as dialed" msg or "All circuits are busy".  Contacting the FTC based upon previous information on this site and reporting Superpages.com.

This number continues to call our place of business and wants to speak with an owner or office manager.  They are calling from superpages.com regarding advertising.  No matter how many times I tell them I'm not intersted and to please not call they continue to call.  It's quite frustrating.

EACH TIME THEY CALL, WE REQUEST TO BE PLACED ON THE DO-NOT-CALL-REGISTER TO NO AVAIL. DO NOT ACCEPT THESE CALLS. THEY ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT YOUR PHONE SYSTEM TO COMMIT FRAUD – ALWAYS FIGHT TERRORISM!!!!
