Leave a CommentI received a call from (216)282-0601 and they said the IRS was suing me and told me to call back. I suspected this was a scam, saw such when I searched the internet. I will add it to my blocked call list.
Called my cell at 1:56 pm. Not recognizing the number I didn't answer. The robot left a message, but by the time my VM outgoing message finished, the robot's message was at the end of its message. I looked their number up online only to see all the comments about it being another IRS scammer. Have added it to my auto reject list.
Caller left message: "The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit a***nst you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 216-282-0601. I repeat 216-282-0601 thank you."
I received a call from this number and another number 360-216-1916. Said I owed $3,852.00 and did I want to fight the IRS or pay. And did I commit tax fraud on purpose or by mistake. When I asked about getting so****ing in writing they said it has already been filed with the courthouse and until I paid I would not receive anything in the mail. Then I told them that they would have to get with my lawyers they were supposed to put me through to upper management. So he put me on hold. Then he got back on the line after I googled the number and told me it would be a while. I said well I just researched your number and you are a scammer. Then he ***g up. I feel so sorry for other people that would mistakenly pay these people. THIS IS TOTALLY A SCAM!!!!!
I have received calls from this number and 206 319 2874 in the last two days. I answered the call this morning around 6:20 am. They claim that the IRS has a lawsuit a***nst me for $3,982.00 and that I can settle right away or my property and all****ets will be seized. Let's get real, the government DOES NOT CALL that early in the morning!
This is a scam. I received a called like you guys and after I asked him about my driver's license number then he ***g up. I google and called IRS theft report right away to check on my status and it's nothing like that weird accent guy said to me.
I received a call from (216)282-0601 and they said the IRS was suing me and told me to call back. I did. This weird middle eastern guy said things that were odds and asking me for my social security number. One thing that tipped me off was any true government agency would not pick up a call within 2 seconds....usually they lag and would be on hold for a long time. scam for sure!
I received a call at 6:30 AM with a voice recording letting me know the IRS was suing me. I called the number back and got a man of eastern Indian accent who claim to be an IRS officer who had my name. I believe I believe he got simply from my call. I asked for further verification, and he told me he would have the police come to my door with a warrant. I ***g up.
This is a SCAM, do not respond! IRS sends letters they do not call. Report them to authorities.
