Calls late at night to my private Federal Do Not Call No., doesn't leave a message and hangs up.  When called back I get a "This number is no longer in service... then a busy tone."

I got a call from 217-278-6929 on 08/18/10 at 6:22 PM. They were doing a survey so I told them I don't do surveys and told them to take me off their list permanently. The rep who called was surprisingly very polite and said they would do that.

I am listed not to get any of these junk emails. But then I remembered that I agreed to take a survey after talking to an HSN worker. I called the number back and they said it was a survey, so I think it was HSN. So this isn't a complaint because they asked permission!

why does one list their numbers with both national and state do not call lists when people can still call you? this is ridiculous.

I recieved a call from 1-217-278-6929.  I worked all night at the http://www.YellowAirplane.com Website.  They woke me up and then wanted to know my exact birthday.  Why exact. When I said that I was 45 - 50 the guy just hung up.  This is harassment and is invading my privacy.  Why do they want an exact date.  My credit card company ask me my exact date of birth for verification of the call. Does this company want to grab my credit card or bank information.  Never answer any survey, ever.  Just scream at them and then they will put on their list "Poison Number"  I learned this from the Red Skelton Movie, The Fuller Brush Man.  They keep exact list just like this. If you are cooperative, many companies sell these list to list companies who in turn sell your name to others that will call you over and over because you are a push over and many so called companies, just want to steal from you.  Be sure to Yell at all Survey People and Salesmen who call you and they will get the message and pass it along.

I called this number back after they called and didn't leave a message... I got a recording saying it is the Center for Consumer Feedback and that they will call back since they can't take messages on that line.  Hope this helps everyone...

This number has called my cell phone on an almost daily basis. There isn't a set time of day that the number calls. The earliest was around 9am and the latest time was about 7pm. Out of curiosity i called it back and an automated message told me that it was an attempt to get me to take a survey and they couldn't receive messages on that line.

Came up as C CF Research. Being on the federal Do Not Call Registry I get ticked that these people aren't repremanded for their violations. Heck they could be paying off some of the defecit

I get this about 5 times a day on my cell

survey. Claimed they were conducting research.

they call too late and you cannot call back and speak to a person or leave a message. You can't request removal unless you catch the call. So you run around looking for the phone while you're taking care of household chores or trying to relax. If I find out who uses them I'll refuse to purchase their products.

Got a call too. I saw on other boards these folks are bothering lots of people. Found out CCF Research is an arm of State Farm Insurance Co. On their site it says "for questions or concerns, call Art Jackson @ (309) 766-2747. Let's all give them some of their own medicine back and EVERYBODY call Art numerous times at all hours of the day and night. I know I will and I'll enjoy listening to what he has to say!

I recieve a call from this number on both my cell phone and on my home phone at least 2-4 times a week. No ID, with long silence--I hang up everytime. I am beginning to think it is a way for phone companies to make money on pay as you go phones....

Random phone call - I picked up and there was no one there - assuming some sort of telemarketer since I don't know anyone in that area code.

They call me too make sure you are on the dnc list and report it to the dnc lists if you have been on the list for 30 days or more. If enough complaints come in they will be given a nice size fine for calling a registered dnc.

State Farm has its corporate offices in Bloomington IL (Area Code 309), so this would match the area code around central Illinois.  I live in Seattle WA, and I'm not sure how they obtained my cell # unless my State Farm agent provided it.  I don't normally recieve calls from Illinois, so at least I know not to pick up.

The phone number (217)78-6929 has been harrassing me for weeks; last week a female stated she was calling in regards to "your home"; told her I was not interested and hung up.  The week before I told the caller to remove my number from their call list, which evidently they, to date,  have not done.Yesterday, 4/10/08, at 5:34 pm, I received a call from them, another female; could barely hear her, told her so; she stated that they "would call back later."  I called the number back; you get a recording stating something about "research" however, you cannot speak to anyone and they will be calling you again.TODAY, 4/11/08, at 5:34pm, I get another call from them; I let it ring several times before answering.  Upon answering, my saying "hello" several times got NO response on the other end--just dead air--I TRIED to hang up; however, my caller ID kept showing "line in use"  and would not disconnect, so I had to unplug my phone for several seconds to get the line to release.I am SICK AND TIRED of these jerk heads!!! I HOPE someone will read this who can help me get them to quit calling me--I can't Call block them BECAUSE it is long distance and I have NO long distance AND it costs $9 now w/my phone company for a "phone trace";  so what the hell is a person suppose to do--change phone numbers, an addi'l cost and the idiots will probably get my number again!!!PLEASE RESPOND.  THANKS.

I got a call from a person who wanted to know if I was interested in answering some questions regarding a survey "about insurance" being done by this "Center for Consumer Feedback."  I asked what kind of insurance they were interested in knowing about, life, health, auto -- they responded, "just insurance."  I kept asking the person, "Who is this center working for and who was paying for the research?"  They just said it was for the center and when I started asking more questions the guy hung up on me.  HA!  I researched online who the "Center for Consumer Feedback" is.  Interestingly, I found that State Farm Insurance Company has got a new "Center for Consumer Feedback."  http://www.sfresearchcenter.com/opportunities.htm#
