Answered and it was a recorded message saying the IRS has a problem with my tax account and to call 217-782-9924. Not sure if this is legit or not

Questioning who this is...? Calls and leaves no message.

I received this call on Sa****ay.   It can't be from Illinois Tax Agency.  It ***g up immediately when I picked up  the phone.  It was silent for immediate return call.

Got a phone call. No message left.

brian from above Just called the Illinois Dept of Revenue. They did in fact have my phone number; however; the name did not match (they had my number with someone elses name). They have advised that I may receive a couple more residual calls, but after a week or two the calls will stop.

I received an Automated call Wednesday, October 06, 2010 at 10:26am from 1.217.557.6647 with a message about Illinois Tax Amnesty Program if you have delinquent Taxes from between the dates of 06/2002 - 07/2009. It said to go to www.tax.il.gov to look up more info. WOW... I got a call from the State of Illinois and you got a prank call about ****? ****... I lucked out!
