I just dealt with the same guy.. email was c****ed to [email protected] with the phone number: 224-377-9639

Same thing happened to me today. He wanted to buy the car I have listed for sale on Craigslist. Same exact email copy and everything. Glad I Googled this - what a pathetic loser. I hope karma catches up with this guy.

This guy has now tried to scam us as well. We are situated in South Africa and he got our details from a local website where we were selling a boardroom table. He agreed to pay us the full amount via PayPal but then asked if we would mind if he deposited an additional $650 which we had to go pay to his shipping agent in ****a also through Western Union. He sent us a scanned copy of his US passport which you can see has been altered. According to him he resides in Hackney, North London and is a UPS Freight Supervisor. The email address and telephone numbers he used are as follows: [email protected] & +447024044806. What ultimately gave him away was the fact that he switched his Name and Surname around. In some of the correspondence he called himself Capre and in others William. This is clearly someone who has managed to obtain a legal persons passport and is using it to defraud unsuspecting individuals.

Also just got 2 e-mails from this guy wanting me to let him pay via paypal.Set up the payment, he said he had paid it, sent me 2 fake receipts in my e-mail, checked my account, said "pending". His e-mail said he paid OVER 450 bucks, and that we would need to send that money to the guy in texas who as going to pick it up via western union.That e-mail appeared to be from paypal saying it was 100% safe etc, looked fishy though and was coming from [email protected] a fraud case and gave them the 2 e-mails as well as the cell phone number he was calling from, which by the way was: 224-377-9639

This guy capre.will07 wants to buy my car too, and we are in QLD Australia ...SCAM all over.  I advertised my 10 year old car last week, and have had 4 overseas people interested in buying it...  No one locally is interested, and the trade in value is $2,000. :)

Had the same inquiry.  It was peculiar to me because he expressed interest in buying a used truck in Ca***a.  Less than 2 weeks ago I bought a truck in the US to bring to Ca***a, because the selection is so much better, and the trucks are so much less expensive.Instead of sending him any more information about my truck, I sent him an invoice for my "legal consultative service" for 0.2 hours @ $300/hr.

I received the EXACT same correspondence with this person, but his e-mail was [email protected]. We were almost hooked into what I feel like was a scam, so I called off the deal. He was asking to pay us through paypal but that he had to include his freight costs of $750 and then we in turn send this money via Western Union to the freight company whose "corporate international headquarters [is] in Texas." He just sent up too many red flags for this transaction to continue.I am posting this in hopes that it helps to prevent others from being scammed as S***'s post****isted us.Keep you eyes open at all times!

on 3/14/2011 I received an email from William Capre ([email protected]) wanting to know if so****ing I was selling on Craigslist was still available?  I emailed back to say yes and gave the number to call and also said he could send me his number and we would be in touch.  On 3/15/2011, I received a second email stating "Hi, Thank you for your response.  Can you****ure me that it is in good state and that I will not be disappointed with it and I'm ready to pay your asking price if it's in good condition, 224-377-9639 (Text Only please.)  William So, later that evening 3/15/2011, I emailed to [email protected] and text to 224-377-9639 the following message.....The ma****e is definitely in good shape.  Let me take this opportunity to let you know if you are interested in buying it, we will not consider shipping it to anyone.  We prefer to do business in person.                      as of yet, 3/16/2011 8:50am, I have not heard from William.........I KNOW I POSTED THIS TWICE, BUT THE FIRST TIME I WASN'T REGISTERED WITH THIS SITE!!!
