Call last night (5/31/2011) from a B. Anderson - I think he said he was with a police organization. I told him he wakened me. He said he would call at a later time.
They keep calling every day no matter what I tell them. Mine was also called B. Anderson. They always ask for my husband. I think I am going to tell them that he ran off and I havent heard from him in weeks
Call from this # at 7:30 p.m. 4/14 registered as "B. Anderson". Didn't answer - no message.
Several calls from this #
I actually caught the guy off guard... Since long ago I used my DOG's name in the phone directory (!) to help screen out these calls. Now all I say is "For the last time, Mr. #### is DEAD." and pause. People on the other end have no idea what to say, sputter, apologize and **** up. Most never call back a***n -- hey, hows ya gonna get money from a dead guy, eh?
received call saying they were with Will County police and they were looking for donations to keep kids off streets. Told me they were recording the call as well. Heard many people in background on phones. told them I was in cook county and they still pressed for donation. Told them I don't do donations over phone. They asked me to go to this website:policeathleticleagueofillinois.com and they will call in a few days.
Received call approx 7:15 p.m. on December 14, 2010. Was asked to hold until the next operator was available. Really? I have time to wait on hold while you call me to beg for money for your scam?
The name on the caller ID is E.A. Langenfeld This number called me, phone rang 2 times, I said*****o and the person on the other end ***g up on me. I called the number back and they sald EA Langenfeld how can I direct your call. I said someone from this number just called me. The woman said it was not their company. I said how can you say it's not your company, I just re-dialed the number on the caller ID and she replied back, That is not us. I said, if it isn't your company, then who is it? And she ***g up on me.
Vietnam Vets caller here too. Got hostile with me when I told him that we do not give to groups who use paid telemarketers. Asked to talk to his supervisor and he ***g up on me.

I s****ed getting calls from these people after posting my Resume on Job Search websites. They suggested SMALLER donation when I told them that I am unemployed for over a year!!! I pick up these calls only because I hope it could be job recruiter.

Understand this is charity scam. No response when answered. Annoying
I got a call at 8:15 pm from this number and I called it back because i was busy doing other things in the ba*****t where i have no phone and there was no answer after several rings then i call back and the phone is busy so w***ver this person is they are probably just randomly calling people. Who knows??
Called and did not leave a message. Called id said IL Call.
It comes through as "Illinois Call" and no one is on the other end when I answered. I searched for this number, and believe it to be a scam.
Says "please hold for next available operator," and then disconects. It's happened twice now.
I just got a call about 4:30. "IL call" from this number. I answered and click, they ***g up. I thought automatic dialing ma****es were illegal in Illinois. They ought to be.224 is up by Waukegan.I had a run in with these scammers before. One guy, selling trash bags for veterans, called once a week, and if I answered he ***g up, but if my wife answered he gave her his pitch. She's nicer than I am, and she felt sorry for him. One time I called him back from caller ID, and he answered. I swore at him, told him to stop calling. I filed a complaint with my local police, but he told them I'd been harrassing him! The officer must have been sympathetic to his plight, because the policeman told me to lay off, and said there was nothing he could do. I kept after the police, however, and finally he told he the guy had promised not to call back. A week later, he called back. I called the police, and I don't know what happened, because he stopped calling. I checked out the name of his charity and found out he wasn't even registered in Illinois - hand't been for 2 years. I checked with his cell phone provider, and the phone company rep said he had so****ing like ten or 20 cell phone numbers registered to his charity, but he couldn't give me any "private" information on the guy. I wanted the phone company to cut off service to him, which they will do under the law if you prove harrassment. I don't know if this is the same ****. Probably is. It's from the same neck of the woods.
I just got a call frm this number. It was a **** up call, though. I picked up and said*****o, and they ***g up.
W***ver it was ***g up.
Someone actually was on the other end of the line. They asked for my husband, and when I said he wasn't home, he said he'd try back later. I asked who was calling and he said he was from the Wishing Well foundation. Conversation sounds normal, but his tone of voice was weird. Not a friendly, "Hi! would you like to donate?" voice. Plus if he were, wouuldn't he ask for the lady of the house?
"Hello, please let me connect you to the next available agent." I ***g up right there.
What a waste of time. Both mine & the callers. Why don't they get a life.
Guy telling me I'm a Viet Nam Vet. OK - I AM a Viet Nam vet, and this guy wants money from me to help Viet Nam vets. You ask "how much of my dollar goes to the vets and how much goes to your company?" and he goes "the vets get 12%." And I say - "it;s bad enough I was spit on when I got home in 72 and had people call me a babby ****er, now I have to sit here and have some guy who c****es his name from a board every day and never worked a day in his life try to steal money from me." Then I said some bad words, naming him as the what the words defined. That's when he got nasty right back. So much for caring about us poor vets. This is a long running scam. These guys c****e their name every day, wear gold chains and are mostly *** a**es looking for easy money. Tell them you'd like to meet them somewhere and settle this like men. They'll run.
