They asked me if i was my sister and when i answered in the negative they asked if i was a registered voter. I said no to get them off my nuts.

Suggestion: Keep a whistle nearby and when you answer a call from this number, grab it and blow hard. They will take you off their list.

Did not answer -- they called on my cell phone. That number is only known by my provider and my closest friends. They are either robo-calling (which is now illegal in my state) or they have data mined my friends' cell phones (I've heard this has been happening). I don't answer and they leave no message.

Called tonight asking for my partner. I said she doesn't take surveys, but I'd be happy to. The woman was polite, and told me the survey was geared to specific individuals, but thansk for my offer to take the survey. If the article below is true, I had one of these "push surveys" committed against me during the Meg Whitman gubernatorial run. They ask you questions, but really they are subtle (or not so subtle) slams against the other candidates. Got a call from this number. Caller ID said Market Research. I didn't request any Market Research, so I didn't answer. I've received MANY more calls like this since listing my phones on the DNC list. I wonder why that is???

Calls and does not leave message. What is the purpose of the do not call list?

Some female has started calling from 231-224-2031, and wants to do a survey and has called several times and asks for me by name. She has a high pitched voice and it is very difficult to understand what she is saying...she has an Indian accent (INDIA). Am NOT interested in any kind of survey from anyone. 231-224-2031 CALLED AT 910 ONE NIGHT AND THEN 945PM THE NEXT NIGHT. I GOT AFTER THE LADY AND SHE DID APPOLOGIZE BUT THAT IS LATE TO BE PESTERING PEOPLE. ESPECIALLY PEOPLE WITH INFANTS IN THEIR HOUSE.

I do not know who called me with this phone number- 2312242031 and want to speak with my family member and when I enquired why, the person simply off the phone. Also, when I call back, the phone will be picked and no ringing tone.

Caller I.D. says Research Center.I do not pick up phone. Calls come all day long, the latest was three calls last night between 10 and 11 P.M.

Called at 8pm on a Sunday evening, luckily I am in the habit of never answering unfamiliar numbers.

This number is the Mountain West Research co. The following excerpt was taken from the "Why did we call you" section: ***If for some reason you wish not to participate in a survey simply state your desires and you will not be contacted concerning that research issue again. Since your opinions and experiences are of such a high value we will respect your requests. We keep an internal list of households that do not wish to be contacted concerning any research matter regardless of the topic. Calls for some one who does not live at this number but same last name as mine. Will not stop calling for that person.

Woman keeps calling my cell phone from this number by the name (real or not) Jessica. I told her to lose my number now. She started to talk back and I hung up. I rently suffered a stroke and am trying to get well. Stress like this sets me back and I do not want to die because of these types of calls. How can I stop her from calling again. She calls every night at the same time. The one message left on my recorder claims they are from Mountain Mgrs a research company. I called and got a recorder. I am on the do not call list yet they still call.

Called about a survey at 9:15 cst. I informed him of the time and that we were on the do not call list. He told me it didn't apply to surveys. Then I reminded him of the time and said he was breaking the law. because it was after 9 pm my time. 231-224-2031 is “Mountain Research Center” in Idaho. At least, that’s what it is as of July 18, 2008. Give them a call, if you dare, at their headquarters- 208-232-1818, and press 0. You’ll get a live person who says he will take your number off the calling list. If they call again, I suggest you call them—repeatedly—say, every night for six months, and tell them what you think of their “research”. [This is happening to us because our brave Washington politicians didn’t want to include their own “political surveys” in the do-not-call legislation. Perhaps you should also “survey” your congressman every day for a few months.]
