There are very unscupulous people out there who work for legitimate businesses and when you give them your credit card info for a purchase they write them down abd then sell them to scammers like these people you keep calling you. They'll even go so far as to make a deposit to your bank account and then withdrawl it minutes later. This is to see if the account number is valid. They will then make a small withdrawl, say about $30 or so that can't be traced to a legitimate business. If these people call you then get your card number c****ed as it will only be a matter of time before they hit your bank account.

I got a call from a guy saying he was from Value PLus and was calling in regards to my credit card and gave me a valid last 4 digits. I asked what he wanted and he said he was calling to thank me and if I had a minute to talk? I asked a***n what he wanted and he said they would call back later and he ***g up.

this number keeps calling me I finally answered and they asked fort the person in charge of my business. they didn't even know my name i asked what the phone call was about and they ***g up. they keep calling i don't answer but the call is still annoying. Can we stop these calls???

The caller says that I indicated on an email that I was interested in going to school. I told them that they are wrong, I have no intention of going back to school and stop calling. They've called back 20 times under different phone numbers!

on my cell phone as 430 in the morning!!! Got excited and talked to her for 5-10 minutes. Asked me for my address and told me a credit card number(which didnt match with mine). I was kind of confused. I got on the internet and searched for the number. After I found out what it was about I played around with her lol and asking dumb questions. Then she ***g up.

Caller asking about my credit card.....knew the last 4 numbers, Why? I watied for the person to ask for the three numbers on back of card. I told her I didn't have time to talk.Called me on a cell, NO NAME at 11:25 A.M. Sept. 27th ' 09.The woman had a strong accent, maybe Spanish.

They have called twice now using different phone numbers. Today I said to them or are you calling about my stolen card and asked them if someone turned it in and she ***g up. I just yank their c****e and try to have fun with it. I just hope that people aren't buying into the scam they are pulling.

Lady named Jan called to ask questions about a visa card. She said she worked for a company called "Synergy" ( not sure on spelling she spelled it to me to fast ), She insisted I had a bank card with the Visa logo. I asked how she came up with that? She replied she was going to mail me some important information. At that point I told her to be sure to use company letterhead and a working return phone number to her company. I told her I would review the information and get back to her if I was interested and at that point she ***G UP.

This person has called me about 12 times over the last two weeks. They say they want to thank me for using my Mastercard. The name they call me is similar to mine but not exact. They give me the last four digits of a cc#. Currently I do not even have a MasterCard. This morning, when I asked them for information they gave me another 800 number to call:

They call a couple of times every wk but leave no message. Other complaints state this person knows their last 4 digits of thier cc. Sounds like a scam. suggest c****ing your cc #.

She says that I have been using my visa card for a while with them and when i ask for more info they **** up and she/he trys to get more information on my card and details. It's very fishy. So let us catch this fraud and stop crime.

This woman has called me every single day for the past couple of weeks saying that she is going to send me a package for having my Visa open for so long. She says all I have to do is pay for shipping. Obviously this is a scam and its clear that I am not the only one that is having this happen to recently. Someone really needs to look into this before people are ripped off.

I keep getting calls on my cell phone from this number.  They had the last 4 digits of my debit card.  I've had to cancel that card and wait for a new one.

I have received numerous calls from this phone number on my cell phone, but I have hold music and there is never anyone on the other end when I get to my phone to answer it.  This past weekend, I literally had my phone in my hand when I got a call from the 231-732-2640 number.  I answered it and it was supposedly Mastercard.  Same scam.... what bothers me is they had the last four numbers of my Debit Card.

I also have had several calls from this number. I answered one who said they had my information from a partner copy where I had used a visa and they new the last three digits. I was also offered a free gas card.

Woman called 3 times not leaving a message, answered on the 3rd call. She said she was from visa and confirmed the last 4 digits of my credit card saying thank you for being a good cusotmer. When I questioned her, she ***g up.

Claimed they were calling me about my MasterCard account. I don't have a MasterCard account, so I said, "What do you mean?" and she ***g up.

This caller identified themselves as being from Master Card and was awarding me 300 in gas and other prizes. The only catch was that they wanted to "confirm my address". This was su****ious since Master Card knows my address and have never contacted me before on my cell phone.

This number is a telemarketer wanting to "give" you gift cards with strings attached. They begin by implying that they are from a credit card company. I think they got my # from when I bought green bags.

Called @ 2:30 pm, wanted me specifically. Husband woke me up. I called them back after there was no reply when I answered the phone. I called them back and left several messages, did reverse look up, Morley, Michigan.I threatened to **** them with a gun up the *****. Please follow suit to repress this hassle.

The DO NOT CALL list is a JOKE. These people are not fined, or placed in a detention list or investigated in any way. To stop them you would have to destroy the PHONE LINE FROM WHICH THEY PLACE THEIR CALLS.

They called several times at different hours, some late. Most of the time there was no one on the other end when I answered. I finally got an answer today. He was from Gold Coast, calling about my Visa card. When I asked for his address, he said, New York, New York, when I pressed him for a specific address, he ***g up. The reverse directory says it is Morley, MI. I included that number on my phone with the ring tone of mute.

Caller called claiming to have a $300 gas card from my Visa card company, when caller was asked to identify themself they used a last name of Brown. This is the second time they have called.  They seem to know a great deal about how long I have had the card.  More disturbing is they called my cell phone at 9:05 PM on October 27.

They called at 8 pm 10/23/08. The lady said she was from Gold Coast Visa.  I told her I didnt have a Gold Coast Credit card. She knew my full name and last for of my real Visa card.  She said she was rewarding me for long serviced with a $300 gas card.  I told her I didnt want it and didnt want anything charged on my real Visa.  She got rude and said "Well if you dont want to listen, goodbye.  I think this is some kind of scam!

I got this call at 8pm 10/22/08.  A woman called me by name and knew my last four digits of my real visa.  She said she is from Gold Coast Visa and wanted to reward me for long use on my real visa with a $300 gas card.  It sounded like a scam so I told her I didnt want it and didnt want anything charged on my visa card.  She got rude and said "if you dont want to listen then goodbye."  I think this is a scam and seeing the other messages, I am convinced.  I will never put my phone number on any website a***n, geez!!

This number called me and were silent on the phone, then ***g up. I call them back, and the number appears to be some strange line. They never answer, but the phone stops ringing. Then the call gets disconnected. I have a strong feeling this is a SCAM.

I have received three calls from this number to my cell phone in the last two days. They do not leave a message and since I don't answer my cell phone at work, have no idea who has called. Since I've seen numerous complaints about calls from this number on the Internet, I won't be calling them back!

I also rec'd the call asking for another person I just got this phone and phone number.  The are saying they are from gold or golz visa card.  I told if they call a***n i will call the law enforcement.

got a call from this number and a guy was on the line.  so I called him back but no one answered.  I know its a scam.  I've been getting calls like this for a month now, only from difference area codes with numbers that are "no longer in use".  Very weird!  I googled the numbers and found out a lot of people are getting these calls.  It's so **** annoying!  does anyone know what to do?  AT&T has no solution.

It is on my cell and I have ***g up on the number enough times, that when my phone s****s to ring with a call from this number, my phone ****s up. I've never spoken to anyone from this number and when I tried calling it back, there is just dead air.

I wasn't sure if this is the same nightmare calls I have been getting from other mystery numbers, but the above descriptions convince me it is -- I made the ****** mistake of ordering a "Buxton Bag" from the website -- and I've been receiving these calls ever since (and my phone is a cell phone!) They have some fairly alarming info about your card, and then eventually launch into a pitch for a time share, or other product -- I've told them they are calling a cell, that I'm on the "no call" list (I've put my cell number on there repeatedly, even though you're not supposed to need to do this), told them to stop calling me, and screamed like a crazy person at them, and still they keep calling. All I can say is that buying "as seen on TV" stuff off the internet is a very bad idea, because this can happen to you, and there appears to be no way to stop it.
