Leave a CommentMy phone rings about 3 times a day from this number - does anyone know how to make them stop?
Caller said it was about my visa card and knew the last 4 digits of my visa bank check card. When I asked which bank, he couldn't verify the bank and ignored me. He spoke in broken English. I kept asking what they were signing me up for and he would say nothing but a $1 shipping fee. I called back many times and it would ring once then busy. Total scam - beware!
Stop CALLING!!!
this number calls me at least 3-5 times a day. when i answer, there is ***ody. when i call back, it rings twice and then goes to a busy signal. i ordered a snuggie recently and am reading online that many people who ordered on now share my problem. my patience is wearing thin!
This number has called my cell phone several times several different days. I would like to put a stop to it!
This number calls me all day long. It is never at any particular time. This number calls me 2-3 times in the mornings between 5am-11am. 2pm-11:59pm. The number simply calls me anytime of the day or night. I reported the number to my friend who is an FBI agent. I guess they are checking on it.
just received a phone call from this number. this number has called my phone many times, however, does not leave any messages. i googled the number and found this site. quite helpful!
I had this same number call me and she had my VISA number! I am calling my bank tomorrow. Foeign woman.
Got call from this number to say that I spent money from one visa account several times, and they would like to verify. The speaker's English is terrible, and she said she is "Averon" taking care of visa business. I wanted to play with her more, but my phone connection suddenly lost.
This number has been calling me for the past three months. I haven't picked up. When i tried to return the call i received a message which stated I had reached the marketing dept. Very generic message.
THIS IS A HUGE SCAM THEY WILL ***** YOU AND CHARGE YOUR CARD IF SAY OK TO ANY QUESTION THEY ASK YOU. REPORT THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!
This number calls 5 and 6 times a day. I did not know the number so I do not answer it. I am tired of it using my cell minutes. Very annoying . . .
They keep calling and calling, I have not answered it, because one day they called 5 times while my phone was broke, when i got it back i came to this site and saw everyone elses complaints. thanks
I am getting calls from this number nonstop... I jst don't answer the call since they leave no message; I figured it most not be important.
receiving calls two to three times daily for last 2 months - have never answered...where do we go to report this obvious scam?
they keep calling but no one says anything
I have also receive numerous calls from this number the past few days. I answered one time. A foreign man referenced the last 4 digits of my credit card. I didn't aknowledge that it was my credit card, but asked the name of his company, which he then identified as "Sun Escapes". I told him to take my name off his call list. He seemed rather nervous, but agreed. However, since then I have received several more calls from the same number which I have not answered.
Same comments as Mike below. "John" called regarding a free $25 non expiring gift card from WalMart for being such a loyal AMEX customer. He recited the last four digits of my AMEX card number (correctly). I received similar calls recently. I am a senior fraud specialist working for a large financial ins***ution and I can****ure everyone that this is a scam.
This is definetly a scam , ive been getting close to 5 calls a day ! Ask them about themselves and tell them your phone is tapped and that they are going to get in to trouble . The will **** up !!
I receive calls at least 2 times a day form this number, but no one is ever on the other end, when I try and call it back all I get is a voice mail box.
I received a bunch of missed calls on my cell phone. Finally answered and spoke to the woman who also said she was from Avalon. I received a call like this a couple weeks ago and I spoke with my credit card company about it, just to confirm that they were not the ones calling me. They said it was definitely a scam and to try to get info from them. So when I spoke to the lady last night, I asked her what company she was calling from. She said Avalon. I told her my credit card was not through them and told her I knew it was a scam and I had already spoken with my cc company about these calls and they****ured me they were not doing any gas card or wal mart card promotions. She tried to****ure me it wasnt a scam, so then I asked for her name and phone number and she ***g up on me. Where can we report these calls?
I didn't answer the calls because I don't answer numbers that I don't recognize without first investigating.
I just got a call from a foreign woman as well, she said she was with Avalon. She would never answer me whenasked what Avalon was, she said I was being rewarded with a $25 gift card from Walmart for being a valued Visa customer, I asked her, "what Visa?", she then stated the last 4 digits of one of my Visa cards. I told her to continue, she then stated that for a "small processing fee of $1" I would receive a special package within 2 days with my gift card....I told her no thanks and ***g up...I can only surmise what was coming next...the need to process that $1 fee on my card and the need to "verify" my full credit card number? Hmmmm....gotta ba scam!
Just got another call from them, foreign woman said she was with Avalon. I kept asking what was Avalon. She would never directly say, had the same info on me, as it happens I closed that account this morning anyway. This could be a very bad situation.
Same here - they have been calling me from at least 3 different numbers. Sometimes I get a ****-up from one number followed by another call an hour later. I closed my credit card account that they referred to.
Been getting calls daily from these people. Finally answered today and they said I'd won a $25 WalMart gift card for being a valued customer and recited the last 4 numbers of one of my credit cards. They said it would only cost $1 for ship the card to me. I ***g up as soon as I heard this. This stinks like a scam.
This number keeps calling me and when I call back just a recording. My educated guess would be they bought my number from some other company and they make money on every out going call they make, I'm sure they also make money everytime I call back
